This place started out so strong… now meh. First they revamped their dollar Wednesday menu, taking all the good stuff off. They are frequently out of ingredients, but often they dont let you know… you just notice it’s missing. Last time was arugula — when i asked they gave me a side of wilted shredded iceberg. Plus the people that work there seem so miserable. The manager is openly rude to the employees, and i dont think ive ever seen anyone who works there smile. The way they greet new customers not familiar with the ordering process is barking at them to get out of line and write their order on a little pad first. Rude. The cheese fries with ham are super yummy — I don’t know if they fry them twice or what, but I freaking love those fries. Great concept, lame execution. Needs new management.

After a client meeting on the far north side of Tampa, a friend invited me up to Wiregrass Mall to have lunch at a new Spanish tapas place named 100 Montaditos. The restaurant is located near Grillsmith, and across the walkway from Primebar in this outdoor shopping mall. The restaurant has a number of 4-top tables all around the inside, as well as an outdoor dining space. Inside is a traditional open-air sandwich assembly counter where you can stand and watch the cooks preparing your meal which will be brought out to your table when it’s ready. Montaditos, better known as Montados, are flavorful toppings«riding» atop a small baguette roll. These small sandwiches are very popular in Spanish tapas bars. They come in all flavors — beef, chicken, pork, sausage or vegetarian, and can be prepared hot or cold. We started with a classic Spanish Jamon Serrano & Queso Manchego appetizer while waiting for our sandwiches to be prepared. The dry-cured ham was paired with a 3-month cured cheese, and happily piled onto little slices of bread and daintily nibbled while we chatted. I ordered 4 different montaditos sandwiches which came with a side of chips, and my order was priced at about $ 10. Each sandwich was about 3 — 4 bites, so you’re encouraged to experiment and order a few. The menu is quite extensive, and as you might have guessed, there are 100 different types of montadito sandwich to choose from. Here were my selections: * Blue cheese, garlic pork loin, and piquillo pepper * Chorizo, manchego cheese, fresh tomato, and arugula * Smoked salmon, blue cheese, arugula, and olive oil * Anchovies, brie cheese, piqillo pepper, and arugula Some unusual choices, but hey… I wanted to try a different type of cuisine. The sandwiches were good, and the Serrano ham was out of this world delicious. This is a fun, and certainly quite different kind of restaurant. Some of the sandwiches choices included tuna fish, meatballs, shrimp, and Philly cheese steaks, so you’re likely to find some options to appease the little rugrats. If you’re up in Cow Country, then be sure you swing by Wiregrass Mall and give this place a try.

Service was very confusing. Sat at a dirty table for about 15 minutes, and no one ever cleaned it off. Had to move to a not so dirty table once another couple left. Sandwiches are good but nothing spectacular. Fries were amazing and so was the sauce. Cheap drinks. Overall pricing was very reasonable. Great for a quick lunch.

I was meeting a friend for lunch at Wiregrass, and was supposed to meet at a different restaurant, but spotted this place as someplace new and different to try. Glad we did, because it was great. 100 different little sandwiches $ 2, $ 2.50, or $ 3 each with different meat, cheese, veggie, and bread combinations! The serrano ham and manchengo cheese was delicious, as well as the Chorizo. We tried 6 plus the fries with cheese and serrano ham, and the bacalau fritters plus the chocolate bread dessert too, and the two of us could not finish it… well, I guess we could have, but I don’t like to be stuffed. I loved the idea of trying all the different taste treats instead of just one, and everything we tried was very yummy. We had great service too! Will definitely come back, especially on a Wednesday for dollar sandwiches and Sunday for 2 for 1 platters and 2 dollar Sangrias!

Loved it! Will go back! I ordered a montadito with salmon, one that was burger, and another with chorizo. Love the tapa style. That mixed with a pitcher of sangria made my night.

This wasn’t quite what my boyfriend and I expected to walk into — it was much more casual than we were anticipating! We seated ourselves and looked over the menu. We ordered a couple montaditos and a couple of other dishes, like the tapa-sized chicken tenders and tortilla Española. I ordered jamón serrano tapa for myself as well. It sounds like a lot of food, but the portion sizes are small(and not at all expensive) so you can really try a lot of different things without breaking the bank. We were also both pleasantly surprised by the super reasonably-priced drinks — $ 3 Spanish wine and $ 3.5 mugs of sangria? Yes, please! The montaditos we ordered were #2(serrano with mozzarella), #32(smoked salmon with mozzarella), and #15(meatballs with marinara and bacon) were all packed with flavor. My boyfriend loved the chicken tenders and the accompanying dipping sauce, and said the tortilla Española was very reminiscent to the one his mom makes. My absolute favorite part of the meal, though, was the jamón serrano. When I eat somewhere and enjoy it, I have no problem recommending it to others and if I can’t think of something else to try, I’ll head back. 100 Montaditos is different — I am very much already looking forward to my next visit and hope it’s very, very soon!

Casual place to come for lunch or dinner. They have 100 sandwichs on the menu. The sandwichs are small so you can mix them up to try different sandwichs. 2 sandwichs is enough for a meal for myself. My husband usually eats three and shares fries. My sons favorite is the sandwich with pesto and tomato variations and the potato wedges. I like the bbq sandwiches. My daughter did not like the burger and prefers the hot dog. We only go now for the Wednesday dollar specials. My husband, 13 year old son and myself can eat for leas than $ 20 including drinks.

Very innovative spot! Simple décor and not very large but do not pass this place up. Montaditos– little sandwiches-little but amazing! 100 different choices! I had one with garlic pork, brie and bacon, another with Serrano ham, fresh mozzarella, fresh tomato and pesto, and lastly one with sardines, goat cheese, and herbs. All were delicious. I also ordered fries to share and they were worth it-my husband would have loved them. They were light but crispy and make sure you order the garlic mayo to go with them. They had sign up that they do catering… what a great idea for a party. The girl on duty was very helpful assisting these newcomers with the concept! I understand Wednesdays all sandwiches are a dollar-if you live in the area, I suggest you get there on a Wednesday and check this place out.

I was excited to try this place since there really isn’t much to choose from in Wesley Chapel. The concept of 100 sandwiches/tapas is really great. The menu was awesome. But then the food arrived. Really mediocre at best. Sandwiches are mostly bread. May be worth another shot on $ 1 Wednesdays.

This is a really neat concept. The name means 100 sandwiches and that is exactly what they offer. The restaurant I went to is located in the open air shopping mall in Wesley Chapel(The Shoppes at Wiregrass). The place is a bit on the small side and seating is limited. There is outdoor seating which is probably terrific during the cooler months in Florida, but this time of year not so much. There is plenty of parking but you may have to walk a bit, keep in mind this is an outdoor mall. The menu is a bit overwhelming in that there are 100 different sandwiches to choose from. There are a few combos which provide suggestions and limit your options and this is how we ordered. The sandwiches are small but are priced accordingly. All the sandwiches we ordered were good but not out of this world. This isn’t a sit down restaurant where you are waited on but rather you order at the counter and a server will bring your food to you. Over all this is a pretty solid place to go eat. The food was good, the staff was pleasant and helpful, and I bet that around happy hour or busy times during«mall season» there is good people watching. Give this place a shot if you find yourself at the mall and want a light meal.

Unfortunately this place has been closed, to my surprise. I really loved this place and their concept. They had small sandwiches that were very affordable, so you could order a few and try out different things. I hope they will soon re-open in another location, not sure why they closed exactly.

Yum, yum Great little sandwich, filled with a wide variety of meats, fish, or just veggie. A «must» for Wednesday’s — -when all sandwiches are 1 dollar! I tried the smoked salmon with cream cheese and arugula – so good! The bbq pulled pork with crispy onion and chipotle Ali oil is also very yummy. The«verinko”(smoked salmon, hard boiled egg, pepinillo, and mayo) is also a solid salmon choice. Rounding out my experience was the«tirititran”-nice little philly steak. If this was’nt enough, I tried the sweet montaditos, and was pleasantly surprised with the whipped cream and almonds, nutella stuffed in chocolate bread. For everyone that thinks these are a mere snack, that’s kinda the point. For a dollar apiece, what more do u want?!!

Interesting place. I was there at lunch time and the choices are extensive. Nice wine and beer choices as well. The taps sandwich was good. I had the anchovy. This is a new concept that mm akes Wiregrass Mm all a bit more charming. Would like to hear traditional Spanish music also. Used to be a crappy yogurt place. Big improvement!

So, we went on Wednesday dollar day and enjoyed ourselves. Our sandwiches tasted really good, my favorite had manchego cheese, arugala and anchovies. We all ordered 5 sandwiches(the sandwiches are really small, but tasty) of varying flavors. Everyone at the table raved about the sandwiches with tuna. We also ordered fries with 2 sauces. They were also only a dollar.(all 100 sandwiches are a dollar on Wednesdays, along with some of their sides and appetizers). The sauces for the french fries are ali oli, brava or ketchup… skip the ketchup, the ali oli was awesome. That being said, the sandwiches were small, but the fries were huge. We all ordered fries and then wished we’d just ordered one order to share. The sangrias, were pre made, but tasty, and for 2 bucks not a bad price. Ok, so the drawbacks. The place is really chaotic. We were lucky enough to get there right before it got really busy and there were tables available outside, so we grabbed them up and sat down and wrote down the sandwiches we wanted to order. You then take your orders up to the cash register where they ring them up. There are 2 registers. We made our order and then took a seat. While we waited for our order to be made, the line at the registers kept backing up. There were people just standing and waiting in line to make an order and there were really no tables available. They have servers, so I’m not sure why the servers don’t come to the table to take the orders and then deliver them, like most restaurants. It was hard to relax when there was a line of people waiting next to us. We felt rushed to vacate the tables. That experience alone might make me hesitate to come back. Also, they made a LOT of mistakes on our order. Some of the mistakes were in our favor, because we ended up with more sandwiches than we actually ordered, but there were a lot of other mistakes that kept happening, some of the sandwiches were wrong and they only brought ketchup with the fries. We had to ask for the 2 sauces and we ordered olives that they didn’t bring until the end of the meal when we reminded them. The place has a nice, casual concept and the sandwiches were good and the choices are vast, but the chaotic ordering system and the mistakes may make me think twice before I choose it and I don’t think I’d go on a day where the sandwiches were a regular price. 3.00 for a tiny little sandwich seems excessive. I’m sure we will return, because we liked the food, but until they iron out the kinks, it probably wouldn’t be often. I’ll give it another go and hope I can add a star

I was not in love with this place. Maybe I’m missing something… I brought my kids in the other day. We sat at a table to pick out our sandwiches and went up to the bar to order. When it gets busy in here and you’re alone with three kids — this process is a little nerve wracking. I’m looking over my shoulder monitoring the kids. One girl is taking the food order. Another girl is asking me what drinks we want at the same time, then between the two of them they are trying to key the order in. Seemed like unnecessary chaos built into the process there. So we sit at a 4 top that is too small for drinks, apps and 4 peoples’ food. You can see the kitchen from here. I thought it was a little funny to watch the 7 or 8 guys with manhands trying to jam fillings in the tiny rolls. All the while, the manager is telling them they need to hurry up and she wants to see them move faster tonight. Eeeek! The food came out and I could see my expectations were off. The«crispy onions» were but flakes and cheese on the burger roll was neon orange. Two of the kids ordered hotdogs. They were cold and bland to boot. I did not think the food tasted fresh(other than the bread) but the sauces(with fries or sandwiches) were tasty. I think this place would be perfect for a snack after a few drinks out. With portions and prices that should be perfect for a family, I guess I was just hoping for more.

A few years back one of those corporate fast food places ran a commercial about a guy with tiny hands. The point was that his hands were just too small to enjoy their big burgers. Poor guy would’ve been right at home in a 100 Montaditos. This place offers a hundred different«sliders». They include versions that are all vegetable, chicken, bbq, tuna, steak and pork. With a few minor adjustments, you can find a slider for everyone. That being said, my favorite item wasn’t even a slider. I fell head over stomach for the restaurant’s potatoes bravas. These little suckers were fried to golden perfection and served with a spicy ketchup. Call me potatoginestic, but these bravas are going to get catcalls from me every time I see them. As far as the sliders go, I really liked the arugula and fried onion one(sans the cheese) I had three of these(don’t worry, it was dollar slider night so I was still able to pay the babysitter this week). J-Fur’s favorite slider was the tomato, pesto and mozzarella one. She also tried their Nutella Oreo dessert slider which she had hoped would be better. If you are going here, make sure you visit on a Wednesday(dollar night). I think this is especially important for vegetarians because if you are paying full price, I’m not sure its worth it.

100 Montaditos is actually 100 items of montaditos. It is the bun with the tapas item insert. This is new concept chain restaurant from Spain. The first store in the bay area is start at the Wire Grass Mall. We have been here two nights and finally I can gather the fact for this review. I won’t say I have tried each of items but I have enough for the general ideal of the concept. Although they have 100 different montaditos but their main ingredient as follow: Serrano ham, chorizo(sausage slice), salchichon(cure sausage), Lomo(dry cure pork-best item), Chistorra(basque sausage slice), tortilla, meatball, shrimp, tuna, philly steak, blue cheese, mozzarella, ground beef patty, hot dog, chicken, BBQ pull pork, garlic pork lion(one of the best), brie cheese, goat cheese, smoked salmon, anchovies. With this combination, they created the 95 items. The remaining 5 are the deserts. Although they have two different bun and the cost start at $ 1 to $ 3. The best pick are the Serrano ham, Lomo, Garlic Pork Lion. The manchego cheese is the 3 month cure cheese from Spain is also available. They have bigger platter such as calamari, croquette, and chicken wing. You also can order the cured meat alone. For the visit, the new opening attracts lot of customer during the lunch and dinner time. When they don’t have line, it is best to order as little as possible to keep the food warm. Then order the next item as you need. Every Wednesday all the montaditos is $ 1. I feel that we have too much bun by the time we have finish the meal. Although they are filling but do not give me the sensation as Tapas. The service is great. The team of the waiter and waitress is almost like the bee group that work around you.

I liked their little sandwiches. Fun to try different ones. The arugula salad with goat cheese and walnuts was also good. The Wednesday deal is the way to go($ 1 sammies). The croquette and fries were hot and luscious and crispy. Didn’t like the chcorizo. It’s rather dry and salty. Otherwise, good fun. Was happy to meet owners. Very friendly if inexperienced staff. Cool place. The sangria was nice and light and tasty. Fun casual place next to World of Beer at the Wiregrass Mall.

Went here 2 days in a row to check this place out. Wednesdays are $ 1 days. Also this weekend will be $ 1 days for all sandwiches. Usually they are $ 1 to $ 3 depending on the type. One can probably eat about 3 – 5 sandwiches & be full. Sandwiches are about palm sized for chapata(square buns). For oval shaped, they are about the size of you forming an oval with both thumbs and pointing fingers so like 3 – 4 inches. Today, Thursday was the Grand Opening. 3 montaditos(small sandwiches) were free. On this day, they gave you a list of sandwiches to choose from to expedite the making of the sandwiches. You can check out the pictures I posted. It is easier to order a few sandwiches at a time rather than a bunch. Once the sandwiches are out, you will not remember what you got in case you take a picture of your paper which shows your order. Keep it also so when you come back, you will know what you like and do not like. Philly cheese and cheddar cheese, and chicken with aioli are two of my favorites. Their cheese fries with Serrano ham, and their bravas potatas(wedged fries) are very good and crispy. Their croquetas are tasty. I liked the arugula salad, but didnt like the purple raw onion in it. It’s a good size especially for $ 3 on a Wednesday. Pick out one if the dessert sandwiches as well. Their toppings include nutella, almonds, cookies and cream, and whipped cream. The sangria is so good too. I tried red sangria twice, and will try the other ones including white sangria and cola with red wine later. The owners’ names are Colleen & Chris. They are front and center along with the employees making sure everyone has what they need. Anna, one of the servers was quite helpful. You bring your piece of paper with your orders to the front, pay for it, and one of the servers like Anna will bring it out. It can be slow a little bit for them to bring your food, but I know it will pick up. They are quite busy, and it is new and everyone wants to check it out. Good place to get some small sandwiches, sangria, a snack while shopping. Definitely try this place out. It’s worth it. There’s lots of bread so don’t go overboard with all the options. Bread will fill you up fast.

Excellent new tapas style restaurant. Happy it wasn’t another boring chain. Food is inexpensive, the atmosphere very casual and outdoor seating is nice. Sit and place your own order on the notepad and bring it to the register to order. They’ll give you a number and deliver the food to you! ENJOY!
