El Maguey Mexican Restaurant

The last couple of times we have gone to this location, we have had the same gentleman seat and serve us. He remembers us each time, sits us at our usual table and even remembers we like the hotter salsa brought out! Very friendly staff and good food… we eat here quite often. Just wish there was outdoor seating available!

Food is horrible. We have been here many times because my grandma likes beans and rice. It seems every time we go it gets worse. After last night, we won’t be back. Our server never even came back to the table after bringing our food. I sat with an empty drink all through dinner. They don’t speak English so they always bring the wrong order. My mom ordered chicken and shrimp fajitas but was brought beef and chicken. He acted like he didn’t know what she was saying so instead of the argument she just kept it. We also ordered a child’s meal, hot dog. The hot dog came out with 3 finger prints in the bun like they squeezed it putting it on the plate. My stomach was very queezy all night! We won’t be back!

The location is very good and convenient.
The food is alright and the cheese dip is pretty good, I just don’t like El Maguey locations compared to other «Smaller» Mexican restaurants.
I would suggest a smaller location.

Quick service. Typical Midwestern Mexican food. Same décor as all the other Mexican restaurants. Decent prices, quick and easy. So over all nothing special but not bad either. I’m sure I will be back when in need of quick easy food.

Good food at a good price. Staff is friendly, will continue to go back. Margaritas are great and the chicken chimis are always good!

The food has always tasted ok. But after our visit last sat, our nephew and his children joined us. I will never return! We all came down w food poisoning.

Descent food and service. I have eaten there several times and always received good food and was waited on as soon as I entered the building.

Greeted by dirty glass at the entry, we where seated quickly. The chips where not fresh and tasted of inexpensive bagged in bulk. Nothing was fresh and everything tasted canned. A big disappointment. Taco Bell would have been a better choice

Ewww…4 stars?! Really?! I gave 2 stars based in the service alone. The service here was great but the food… was that even food we ate? There were 6 of us so I tried everyone’s lunch… never again… pfft

Good food, fast service. Great value for lunch menu. Service is fast and friendly. The white cheese sauce is amazing!

Great service. Warm chips and fresh salsa were brought out quick. We received our food quickly too. The beef burrito was standard; not a ton of flavor, but decent. My friend’s chile rellenos was very good and the guacamole was very fresh and flavorful. We went at lunch time and the food was good, service was fast, and prices were cheap. I would go back again, but maybe order something with a bit more pizzazz than the plain beef buritto.

Food is very typical for what you get around here-​exact same as el agave and dos primos. Only difference is that it costs slightly MORE here. If you order something with beef (unless the menu specifically says otherwise) you get bland; unseasoned hamburger meat. Service is normally pretty good and it was this time as well. Ambiance makes it feel like you are eating at the lunchroom at work-​not real exciting. So, all in all just ok.

Fajitas were a great price and filling. Good food and good service. Salsa and queso were very good. My son and I shared the burrito and it was huge. We LOVE mexican food and were trying to find a good Mexican restaurant near our new house and this is definitely it!
