Decks, Etc

I had wanted to update my kitchen for years but couldn’t find anyone trustworthy enough to do the job or for a reasonable price.
Gene Weinreis at Decks, Etc. had done such an outstanding job on our deck a couple of years ago that we felt he was the one we wanted to do any work we may need. I thought they only did decks but they had the best work ethic and we were so impressed with his carpentry skills so at least I could ask if he knew anybody as honest, professional and reasonably priced. So I asked if he could do my kitchen and he saw what I wanted done, came back with an estimate and we were on!
He stayed within my budget. He did what every one else told me was impossible by taking out an unwanted wall that divided my kitchen and living room.
He ran plumbing and electric from one part of the kitchen to another. Now I have a beautiful island where and ugly wall was and a nice wide open kitchen/​living area.
When I ran into areas where I wasn’t sure what I wanted he was invaluable with ideas and a keen instinct on what our style would be.
Demolition was fast and smooth and these guys clean up really nicely every day.
He finishes what he starts. And makes sure it’s perfect! He fixed things around the house that weren’t related to the kitchen job.
He’s an excellent carpenter and that’s just the beginning.
They possess a rare mix of talent, experience, creativity, enthusiasm and energy.
They have a sincere dedication to the job at hand and we always felt they were as excited and proud of the new look as we were.
He is so pleasant to have in your home that after the job was done we actually wished we had more for him to do. And hopefully we will soon. He’s honest, hard working, down to earth and straightforward. He says what he means and he makes sure you always know what is going on right now and what they’ll be doing next. His main priority is that you are happy. The man has integrity. It’s a rare thing these days.
He takes care of every part of the project. Has great communication skills with everyone involved and helps guide you in getting what you want and everything you didn’t even know you may need while staying within your budget and in keeping with your own style.
The whole house is opened up and bright now. He rebuilt my kitchen from the floor up, took out existing floor, cabinets, and did an extraordinary job on each and every aspect. We chose a difficult windmill pattern for our floor and an elaborate backsplash but he didn’t complain. He was actually excited and he did them perfectly. He did an excellent job helping me decide what should go where and implementing everything. Made us feel really comfortable the whole time.
A week after he was finished doing everything and more than we had asked him to do, I had a little plumbing problem and couldn’t get ahold of anyone, in a panic I called Gene, he was there in less than 5 minutes and fixed everything perfectly.
His presence itself is inspiring. Full of energy and such a positive attitude, has made an impact on my whole family. Now my own boys believe they can fix anything or do anything and they even enjoy working after hearing Gene talk about loving his job and enjoying his work.
He has a ‘can do’ attitude and he follows through! Anything you need done he can and will do and it will work properly. He will be sure of that.
Goes above and beyond expectations in every area. Is always upbeat and happy to accommodate your own schedule and needs.
I can not recommend him enough for kitchens, decks, gazebos, ANY job he says he can do, you can trust he will do and do it right. You will not be disappointed.
