As another reviewer has mentioned, Barney Thomas is sorely missed here in Connecticut. I am an architect in New Haven, and worked with Barney on several projects, from a project to completely re-roof a building in(gloriously accomplished) standing seam copper, elastomeric roof projects, and varied sheet metal and repair projects. Barney also worked with another contractor here on a house addition, and his skills, knowledge, and willing accessibility(at all times of day and several times in brutal New England weather) were invaluable not just to his construction team but to me. I learned a lot from Barney. A wonderful man and a skilled craftsman. I would be more than happy to offer more if anyone would like to contact me. Ben Ledbetter, Architect New Haven, CT

I hired Barney to take down a wall between my kitchen and hallway to open up the floorplan. He wasn’t the least expensive contractor that I worked with, but the quality of the work was far above expectations. My home was built in 1929 so the walls were plasterboard with layers of paint. It wasn’t a job I was comfortable doing on my own since it required a large amount of material removal, and squaring things up to make sure the trim would lay flat. Barney arrived when he promised, completed the job on time, and I could not be happier with the result. Plus, he tented everything to keep the rest of my home clean during the work!
