Their simplicity is reflected in the wooden tables and chairs as you enter the Native Bagel. I have been here at least 15 times and their home made bagels and desserts are second to none. I usually get ½ dozen to go and eat 2 bagels with cream cheese and coffee right in the store. I have had their yellow icing topped bun which is heaven on earth to eat with tea or coffee. The warm and inviting staff is always ready to have a conversation with you and they make you feel at home. The regular and loyal customers seem to like to congregate here and to catch up on local happenings. Coffee is self-serve and you do not have to ask for refills. I recently took on different work in Florida and I will miss the eateries that were located along my working routes. This place, the Native Bagel, will always be with me, in my mind, as a small business that puts out a product with love and effort and does it consistently. I will miss this place !

Great breakfast or lunch spot here in Wellsboro! Many choices of bagels and sandwiches on bagels! Coffees galore! Clean and friendly, reasonable prices too! We’re going back for lunch today! Three breakfasts with coffee and or tea was only $ 21!

This place gets a lot of hype but doesn’t really offer anything that I can’t make at home. And I’m NOT a cook… Also, not a lot of space to sit. It is very expensive for what it is.

I’m a huge fan of their bagels! They boil them fresh every morning. I remember when. This place opened up… hasn’t changed a bit! Family run, and great for breakfast and Lunch! Soups are a bit bland, but creamy chicken n wild rice are served in bread bowls every monday – very good. I’m a big fan of the simple bacon jalapeño bagel melt. All sandwiches are great. Fresh baked breads and desserts! Open til 5pm usually. Saturdays til 3pm. And closed sundays.

Cute little bagel shop w/excellent sandwiches & amazing homemade cookies. We were in town for back-to-back half marathons in the PA Grand Canyon & had post-race lunch here both days. Definitely a gem in this super small down. Check it out.,

Good but pricey, and the wait at lunchtime eats up the lunch break if you’re working.

We stopped in to the Native Bagel to get some sandwiches to go for lunch. The service was fast and attentive. They had run out of pickles which come with the sandwiches and they very nicely told us the price would be reduced for the price of the missing pickles. The sandwiches were delicious(the triple decker club and Ruben). They came on fresh baked bread(or a bagel if you choose). They even came with tasty fresh bagel chips. I highly recommend this restaurant for a good & hearty meal that won’t break the bank!

I had a poppy seed bagel with cream cheese and a cup of Wisconsin cheese soup. I had a good experience ordering from them – it was my first time there and they were really helpful. They told me a bit about the business and how their bread and bagels are made in-house. The bagel seemed really fresh, and they were generous with the cream cheese(though it’s totally a personal preference thing). The soup was way better than I expected it to be – it was just the right amount of creamy and cheese. I ordered it being almost certain it’d be too rich, but I was proven wrong. And the price of it all seemed reasonable. I can’t say anything about their coffees or other goods(it all *looked* quite delicious), but this first time customer was very satisfied. And as a heads up, I strongly debated giving this 5 stars.

Yesssss. Loved this place. I was in the area visiting some friends, and they recommended we hit this place on Sunday morning. I am way glad I took their advice. The club sandwich I ordered here was the largest sandwich I’ve ever gotten at any normal price. Like, it was too big to get in my mouth. And I have a pretty huge mouth. Service was fast and friendly, and this place is also kid-friendly as well, if you plan on bringin’ the rugrats.

If you find yourself in Wellsboro, skip the hackneyed Wellsboro Diner and hit the NB for breakfast instead! Fresh made bagels to be enjoyed as is or as sandwiches along w/fresh baked sweets/treats are a great start to the morning. Though I, personally, have never eaten lunch here, my husband has many times and raves about their lunch, too. In the summer, I eat breakfast here 3 – 5 mornings per week. Staff is kind and attentive and they make your order fresh as you order.

We tried the Native Bagel this weekend while we were in Wellsboro for the STPR(Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally). We went for breakfast and got breakfast sandwiches and split a cinnamon roll. The cinnamon rolls were HUGE and delicious! The bagel was very fresh and tasty(I had parmesan herb & my fiancée had an everything bagel). The egg was perfect and the cheese was melted and gooey. I got mine with sausage and he got his with ham. I think I enjoyed mine the most, but we were both happy with the meal. Very friendly staff, and welcoming environment. Definitely will come back here for breakfast next year!

It gets five stars for its class of restaurants which is in the deli category. The menu is extensive, the bread wonderful, and fresh brewed iced tea all hit the spot. A great place for lunch!

Wellsboro is full of great local restaurants and this one is probably the best one for lunches. They have lots of locally themed sandwhiches such as: the grand canyon or the winken blinken and nod. Don’t worry, the menu tells you exactly what comes in each one. You can get half sandwhiches, customize(I.e. No tomatoes), and pick which type of bread. All sandwhiches also come with fresh bagel chips. In addition to the sandwhiches, they have great coffee, bagels, and desserts. All great serving sizes. You can also jump online as they are a wireless hot spot.

LOVE the Native Bagel. I grew up in Wellsboro and always bring a dozen bagels back with me to freeze because there is not a good bagel to be found in Pittsburgh. Among my favorites: The Hamilton-Gibson, the Packer Park, the tomato, sprout, and meunster melt(with ranch to dip in), and the chef’s salad with homemade ranch dressing. The cinnabuns are also excellent. And for the record, it is not(and never was) owned by the same people as the diner.
