Sanda Gane European Day Spa

When I think of the word «day spa,» Sanda Gane is not what I envision. As soon as you walk in the door, you see almost everything a salon would have in a room a little too small… it actually makes me feel claustrophobic.
My rating is based on massage services only. Maxine, by the way, gives an AMAZING deep tissue massage! I was so relaxed and warm on the table, dozing off here and there. Upon my entrance I was sat in a waiting area with refreshing cucumber water, lots of clashing fabric patterns all about the room, but comfortable seats.
When I get to the check out counter (back in the claustrophobic room), when I initially went to pay, the charge was $ 70… Maxine came out, spoke to the lady behind the cash register quickly before she grabbed her next client, and the cashier informed me that deep tissue was an additional $ 10 more. I already thought it was a little too expensive, but hey, I NEEDED that massage. I had no problem paying the additional money — I could tell that even though the error made wasn’t my fault, she still wanted her extra $ 10 bucks… I’m assuming she’s the owner.
Overall, Maxine gave an amazing, relaxing massage; she was polite & professional. The towels, blankets & sheets were all clean and smelled fresh. This «day spa» is a little too cramped for me to ever consider getting a manicure or pedicure here, honestly. And I’m sure their other services are overpriced, just as the massages are.
I don’t think I’ll return unless I’m desperate need of a massage, like I was the day I went. It wasn’t a very «zen» or relaxing atmosphere.

Sanda and her staff are true professionals with only a clients comfort in mind, from the quite location to the complementary coffee, tea and wine it was bliss. Do be sure to try any products that they recommend they are always honest and helpful. Sanda has been here in Wellington for years and there is a reason she is great and her staff wonderful.

The best! They really know how to pamper you. Nice cozy space, heated ergonomic massage tables /​chairs that you lie in for facials, eyebrow waxing, massages. Heaven! I got a deep facial and my my skin felt and looked so amazing afterwards. Love the detoxifying cucumber brew they serve — yummy!
I had a pedicure too — they did a paraffin treatment on me because I walk around barefoot all the time and my feet get super calloused. My heels were so much better afterwards. What a heavenly experience. Check for their specials and treat yourself!
