I’ve found my perfect salon in south Florida! The entire staff is polite and very accommodating. They offer you complimentary fruit infused water or tea when you walk in. Their shampoo comes with a hot towel hair wrap and a hand massage in a quiet room with dimmed lighting perfect for relaxing. Samantha does a great job with cuts and blowouts and Karen picked out the perfect color! You’ll also get complimentary bang trims if they cut them there the first time. They also offer a complimentary foot soak while your color sets. Just make sure you come with cash because they won’t let you add gratuity to a credit card.

My first experience here was excellent. Every single subsequent experience was a disappointment. My brunette color was consistently too red, and at EVERY visit I had to ask for the red to be toned down. On the visits when I had only color, I walked out of the salon with dripping wet hair. $ 95+ for color and I can’t get a simple blowdry, even from an intern? More than once, I stood out in the parking lot squeezing water out of my hair before I drove home. On the visits when I also had a haircut, I ALWAYS found myself retrimming my bangs later at home and my hair was often crooked along the back. I felt bad about being so critical, because my colorist and stylist were both so nice. Was I not expressing myself clearly enough? Was I being too picky? Was I expecting too much at this price point? After a year of disappointing haircuts and color, more money spent than I care to remember, and a couple of extremely awkward encounters with interns, I decided to cut my losses and move on. My only regret is that I waited a year.

So happy I finally found a salon worthy of my time & money since moving here last August — Gem of Wellington. Their products are a little pricey but well worth it. From what I understand you don’t HAVE to make an appointment, but it’s best if you do (you won’t have to wait very long, if at all). Upon arrival you’re offered water or tea. If it’s your first time at the Salon they give you a tour. The entire salon is beautiful, very clean & welcoming. Your stylist or colorist will introduce his/​herself and take you to your area for treatment. Before your hair cut is a very pleasant and relaxing double wash & condition; hand massage included! The lights in the room are dimmed, very relaxing atmosphere and comfy, reclining chair. They explain the products used & use only Aveda products which are made from natural ingredients & very good for your hair! If you like the product used, it’s available right out front in the retail/​waiting area! Great staff, great experience & great hair!

This salon is beautiful, the staff is lovely, and I would follow hair expert Samantha anywhere she goes. I have long, thick, curly hair and she is a master at cutting it exactly how I want it every time. It’s always a pleasant experience.

I love Aveda. I’ve never used Pyure’s salon services, but the staff is usually very friendly and helpful. One time there was an overzealous young man who was touching my hair and telling me what to do with it even though I didn’t ask and was only there to buy products. Luckily, I only saw him that one time and I haven’t seen him since. Aveda products and services are expensive, but they are worth it.

This is a great Aveda salon. The staff is wonderful and they do beautiful hair. I had one not-​great experience with a colorist. I called back requesting to make an appointment with a different colorist to have it fixed. The manager handled it professionally, there was no issue and they actually thanked me for coming back to have it re-​done and there was no charge. The spa shampoo treatments are fabulous!
