Kim’s Nails-Skin Care and Waxing

Probably the worst place that I have been too. I got a gel nail manicure (fake nails) for $ 30. I thought this was a good price and was really excited for the service. Kim, the owner, did my nails and she cut them really uneven. One nail was shorter than the rest of the nails.
After she did my nails they looked fine so I was okay. But… they started falling off one by one and were all off within four days. I am a college student I CANNOT afford to get my nails done every 4 days.
This place was HORRIBLE. NEVER go here.

Kevin was quite patient with my pedi. A much better experience than manipedi. Better use of tools. Though it does not measure up to the experience in Delhi, they clearly do a good job!

I came here for a full leg and bikini wax. The technician was very professional and friendly. Her work was very careful and thorough. I would definitely come back!

This is by far the worst manicure I’ve ever gotten. I’ve had botched jobs before, but when I ask to fix, usually it’s not a problem. This time, they couldn’t fix it so I asked for no color instead. They left me with bumps everywhere and a bleeding finger and the remnants of badly applied color. Instead of offering a refund, they provided $ 5 off the next visit, which I don’t intend to use. The ladies are really nice, but that was the biggest waste of time and money. Sorry.

This isn’t the nicest ritziest, nicest place to get a wax but if you’re looking for a quick, cheap, & good wax this is the place to go! I always get discounts on my waxes here. Perks of being a regular I guess!
Kim’s nail and wax recently went through a management change. But I got a pedi here too and it was pretty decent. It’s cheap too!!! Come here if you just want a practical pedi, can skip the spa experience and need to give your wallet a break.
ITS CHEAP! Don’t come here with high-​end spalike expectations.

Called same day and was able to get a gel mani and pedicure for $ 45. My bf was with me and they were able to fit him in for a pedicure as well! It’s certainly not the fanciest place, but the employees are wonderful and they’re amazing at what they do! I will definitely be returning.

This is the best place to get your Brazilian wax around here. I have tried a few different places and now I always go back to Kim. She does a great job, its painless and cheap.

Great experience! My review is overdue. I called the day before Thanksgiving for a same day Brazilian wax. I got in at the time I requested. It was completely painless! Best BW ever!
If you’re looking for a fancy place, this is not for you. If you’re looking for really nice ladies that know what they’re doing, this place is the best!

Friendliest group of ladies ever! It’s the nice staff that keep me going back. The Brazilian wax is painless and thorough. The mani/​pedis could use some improvement so I only ever go there for waxes.

If I could give zero stars I would. — DO NOT GO TO THIS NAIL SALON!
How people are giving this place 4 or 5 stars is beyond me…
First of all the salon itself looks dirty and very poorly kept. This salon has not been updated probably for about 10 years (equpitment and all).
Most importantly — THEY DO NOT SANITISE THEIR EQUIPTMENT.
I saw Kim use the same «tools» on a woman’s pedicure, then do someone else’s nails, and continue onto a third woman’s nails! That was three people that she used the same tools on (GROSS!!). I was so disgusted by this after I had already started getting my nails done that I almost just got up and left.
The only reason that I stayed was because someone was treating me to a manicure/​pedicure that day and I did not want to be rude, but as soon as I got home I sanitzed the heck out of my hands and feet!
If you enjoy below average service, a lack-​luster atmosphere and equiptment and tools that havent been cleaned or sanitized in years … then this is the place for you!

I have ben going to Kims Nails for 10 years. But they have gone down hill. I had tips down recently.
Kim the owner cut every one of my fingers with the drill or whatever they use to do tips. I have been in pain for 2 weeks. My nails were so bad that I had to shape them myself. So much for the message you used to get for mani and pedi did not happen. I would not recommend them to anyone any more. I was such a fan, but after my last visit, with my daughter who also felt it was a waste of money, sadly, I will not go there again. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I go to Kim’s Nails in Wellesley mostly in the summer and only for special occasions in the colder months. Yes they could spruce up their place but I am overall satisfied with them. Their body waxing is quick and lasts a long time unlike Elizabeth Grady which is a higher end place which I paid alot more money for once and didn’t last as long. My pedicures although each nail wasn’t exactly the same and I did notice that they don’t like to cut much off was done pretty nicely in my book. Also my pedicure lasted a very long time pretty much all summer long going back in the fall for another so I guess you are talking about eight weeks seeing as summers aren’t long here anyway. I like the staff and never had to wait more than 5 minutes once and feel really comfortable there. It is a very conveinent place to go providing you get one of their 4 parking spaces in the front, you can park in the back if you have to! They seem to really work hard there and are very nice and they work with what they have as it’s an old building so cut them a little slack as I am sure they pay alot of rent! Just tell them you like your toenails short and they will do a good job. hey they got me baby ready before I gave birth to both my boys and I looked great in the delivery room and after!

This place is great! They provide really great service– quick and efficient! The price is very reasonable for Wellesley, in my opinion. Of course, the «ambience» as Irene said is not the greatest, but it’s not really the ambience that I go for, but more the service! The only reason I didn’t give a 5 is because of the ambience. They are really friendly and seem to remember faces really well! I went once before a month or two ago and she remembered me!

The only reason I don’t give Kim’s nails 5 stars is the ambiance. If you are a person who wants to pay 2−3x as much for that ambiance, this is not the place for you. However, if you want excellent service (with a totally genuine smile), affordable (I mean, really affordable) prices on waxing and nails, then this is the place to go in Wellesley. I’ve tried Gretta Cole and Ardan — both over priced and stuffy. This is by far the best experience I’ve had at the best price in Wellesley. Give it a try!
