A friend of mine recommended Randall for reupholstering our antique dining chairs. He helped us choose the right fabric from design books he brought with him and explained the work he would do on the chairs. He gave us an estimate and the price sounded fair, so we hired him to do the job. Then he took them away in his large oversized van. When he returned them, the quality of the work was outstanding. We are so pleased with our«new» old chairs.

Happened by one day on my way to The Wok for dinner and happened to see a sign in the window for replacing cushions. After reading the reviews, and seeing as our couch needed new cushions(the cheap foam we bought at Joanne Fabrics didn’t cut it), I figured I’d give it a try. I brought by the cushion for the love seat first. As it was wider and thicker than the norm, he had to order the foam which comes in once a week. 10 days later I got a call to pick it up. Originally, I had planned on bringing in the larger cushion when I picked this one up but, seeing as we were entertaining on Saturday night, I opted to bring it in the following week. When I told him this, he said if I brought it back that afternoon or the next, he was pretty sure he could get it done. So, at 4:30 on Wednesday, I dropped it back and my girlfriend came by and picked it up the following afternoon. Not realizing he didn’t take charge cards and not having a check with her wasn’t a problem. He gave it to her and just said to mail him a check. We are now enjoying our new/old sofas again. Randall couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating.

Randall is a master of upholstery. Since he’s the only employee, you get terrific, one-on-one service. He has a huge range of samples, and definitely has opinions, but he always leaves options open so you can get something that aligns with your taste. On the expensive side, but where else in greater Boston are you going to get old-fashioned service like this?
