The Hop

If you love dancing to 80s, 90s some hip hop this can be such a fun place. Not the prettiest by a long shot but real fun. Bar tenders are super cool to me at least.

The HOP strikes again !! I have always been a fan of the HOP on the north side of town. So, after we moved to the South side, we decided to give this location a try. Things are NOT like they are at the other HOP. This one is kind of shady, to say the least. We went there Saturday night, and my husband got charged the right amount that we paid for drinks. Now, two day later… SUPRISE !! A bogus charge for $ 50.00. NEVER AGAIN !! Just beware, and bring cash for sure.

It great atmosphere for hitting on female and male alike. The lights was low the drinks was good and the music worked the place. Ladies of all legal ages was in the place, so if you like I believe you could find.

I had a party there a few weeks ago the bartender actually helped us for a withe till the first waitress showed they both took great care of us ask for lowise or ray the place isn’t the cleanest but the service makes up for all that

Nice mature crowd. Good drink specials. Food aromas were awesome but I didn’t indulge. Plenty 80’s music. Prince, Sheila E, Dean Duran, Culture Club. Fun fun fun

People either LOVE or HATE the Hop… Clearly, I LOVE it! I always have a great time! It is quite a bit smokey, but the people watching, dancing, and music are the greatest! I love bringing my friends here. They never leave disappointed.
The music is like 50s-​90s. It is like being in a time warp, but really– who doesn’t like that?

This place is gross and lame. The crowd is all ages and just seems like a haven for creeps and strange retarded people. Drinks are cheap. This place is nasty.

The management is rude and unwilling to be nice to guests.

My husband and I went here once. It was okay. The drinks were a little bit high and some people were just being down right nasty and had NO class. It was too loud and not my kind of scene. Probably won’t ever be back.

If you want to have a casual affair, or meet a couple of cougars — this is your place. If you’re in a relationship, or looking to meet young singles, try somewhere else.

I have to say I love the HOP… yes indeed this is a fun little spot… the drinks are reasonable, the crowd varies from 20’s to 60’s… everyone can come here have some drinks, dance and enjoy themselves… they have ladies night tues and thurs and believe it or not they have food! If you inquire they will set you up with a free fajita party, I have had one and it was pretty yummy, we had a blast!!! here is the info…

They apparently have another location off 1960 not sure if the specials and nights are the same since I have never been but if you live on the southeast part of town and you want somewhere to hang out, give it a try… Have fun! I always do… and always remember though, most your fun is your company, if your friends are no fun, make new ones! lol

Can be fun, but the crowd’s a little older… One of my (older) girlfriends dragged some of us out here to see her dance. She gets up on the stage thingy and does some belly dancing, hmmmm… The music was pretty cool, mostly 80s and 90s, not much very current.
