We come here so regularly the wait and bar staff know us by name. The rolls are amazing. Everything is very tasty and fresh(we love the signature roll). We have always had excellent service and the drinks are always poured … Let’s just say very generously. Michiru is our go-to spot. Highly recommended.

One of the best in the area for sushi. Warning though — have had my credit card hacked twice after dining there. Daughter has experienced the same.

I have to give this place 5 stars. Recommended by Unilocal, and suggested by a couple fellow Unilocalers as the best sushi in the Clear Lake area, I had to give it a try. Off 45 and NASA pkwy– next to Tilted Kilt, this jewel was pretty crowded and my eyes always go straight to the sushi bar when I walk in to see if it’s crowded and how many chefs are there. The bar was pretty full with four chefs working nonstop. Just what I wanted to see. I was greeted quickly by a very pleasant hostess and then by my server Arielle. Arielle was a pro and new the menu and options well so I didn’t even look at the menu and just told her I wanted some tuna poki to start with a tall Sapporo and then I wanted sashimi. She recommended the 18 piece which I promptly said yes. The beer came quick with a cold glass and following fast with a beautiful presentation and their version of tuna poki. Very fresh tuna with chopped cucumbers and other small chopped up vegetables, little bit of sesame oil and topped with sprouts and scallions. Absolutely perfect and what I was wanting. The service was impeccable as she kept checking on me to make sure everything was fine and then this massive sashimi platter was handed over the bar about the time I finished the appetizer. I was able to watch quite a few different rolls being made from the sushi chefs and saw some very delicious plates being put together with great skill. I managed through the Sashimi with my Sriracha(no soy for me) and just kept eating! After continually being watched with my beer being refilled and water by Arielle, I was still yearning for something else either for dessert or just to snack on so I opted for the tempura vegetable appetizer. This beautiful plate arrived with large perfect bites of asparagus, carrots, mushrooms, I think zucchini, and a large Broccoli head that I couldn’t quite figure out but it was wrapped with an onion ring and really a nice surprise. The plate was certainly large enough for two people but I took my time and ate every bite and it was wonderful! By the end, I was a bit embarrassed at the amount of food I consumed but then I didn’t really care. I skipped lunch and enjoyed every bite. This is now my go to sushi place as most of the time when I’m in town I am working in the ship channel but I stay down on Clearlake at the Hilton because I like the water and have a couple of Friends that live down this direction. Great service, fresh fish, nice atmosphere, loved it. I had a lot of food for around 50 bucks and felt it was a bargain. Highly recommend! I put pictures up as I went so they may not be attached to this review so check them out!

Holy smokes. Some of the best Sushi I’ve ever had, and that’s coming from someone who’s lived in San Francisco, Honolulu, San Diego, and London. Out of this world. Who would have thought you could get fish that fresh in Houston? Fantastic. New favorite restaurant. I couldn’t stop ordering fish! They have a great sake and dessert selection too. We will be back! Service was attentive but not overbearing. Definitely worth the price for fish that good. Yum.

Don’t know why it doesn’t have 5 stars across the board! Great food and great service. Eat sushi across the country and have saved this one for my next trip in Houston

I always order sashimi when I visit a sushi bar. The lunch portion was well sized and well priced! The sashimi was fresh and delicious. Others at the table ordered specialty rolls. The plates on which they were delivered were works of art! I wish I’d taken a picture. Overall, the food was tasty and the service was fine.

Convenient for a meal before a movie at Cinemark or an evening out dancing. Plan is to come back to enjoy more items on menu.

I’m really impressed with the food here! It’s definitely the best spicy tuna I’ve ever had, and I’ve eaten at alot of sushi places. I ordered the spicy girl and it was pretty amazing. Every piece got better and better as I ate my way through it. I also ordered a house salad; their house dressing is delicious! More orange than I’m used to, but delioucious all the same. We also ordered the blue fin for the table. Very fresh fish. My only complaint was that the sauce on the blue fin was a little overpowering. It had the fresh blue fin taste, but the sauce tasted amazing. Also, lychee martini!

I love this place! Perfect date night spot. They are pretty busy on weekends so a reservation might be necessary. I’ve tried a lot of the rolls here. Triton, Texas, but Spicy girl is my favorite. Their ginger and honey miso dressings are on point if you’re ordering a salad, too. I also enjoy the lychee martini while sitting at the bar watching the sushi guys do their thing. Highly recommended!

— It took 45 mins to get our food. We arrived 15 mins after opening. It wasn’t busy. — Sushi was ok and so was the wonton soup. Will keep going to Ichibon instead though. Probably won’t go back. — A little more expensive than average for a sushi restaurant.

The ladies that sat next to us were served drinks and an appetizer before we were even acknowledged. I finally went to the host stand to ask for a server. It still took three minutes of being passed numerous times by every server in the restaurant to finally be acknowledged. She was nice and we finally had two types of sake and one spider roll for $ 38. Beautiful restaurant with a lively bar and delicious food. Snobby servers taking their time while picking and choosing tables makes the moderately high prices sting. No manager was visible at any time. We certainly were not apologized to for our 20 minute wait for drinks. This is my third time having similar experiences but I keep going back because the food and drink and atmosphere is wonderful.

We love coming here for date night! Cindy is the best server hands down! Everything she recommended we got and we ate it all! Beef sliced thin appetizer with onions was amazing for an appetizer. Pork fried dumplings as an appetizer is our go to always. The titan roll was soooo good! Not too spicy. Full of flavor. Beef Sechezuan is my finance’s favorite. He gets it the least spicy and it still has a tiny kick of heat but the sauce is so good. The last visit we sat at the sushi bar. I was unsure but it was really neat seeing all the chefs making so many different things on the menu right in front of us. Now we always want to sit there. Ask for Cindy, she is seriously the best waitress!

My favorite sushi restaurant in this neighbourhood. It probably doesn’t seat more then 75 people & it does feel intimate enough for a date night. The restaurant is clean & well managed. The staff(most of them) have worked there since it opened, I believe that was a little less then 4 years ago. They do have a loyalty card that allows you to trade points accumulated for a cash discount on your bill. There’s plenty of parking available all around the restaurant & it’s easy to access from a few spots. They do have GF options but you need to ask them about it &GF soy sauce as well. A few of my favorite apps are the vegetable tempura & the tuna poke. Other staples are the seaweed salad made with green apples, the edamame & the miso are the same everywhere. The fish is delicious here, the super white tuna is my favorite sushi. They do have decent deals on sashimi & sushi combos. I do enjoy the signature rolls(I never eat the cooked ones anywhere because I think that’s just wrong). The red dragon & I think the other one is called the blue marlin are my go to rolls, they’re delicious & beautifully crafted. The bento boxes are good but nothing about them makes them special. The selection of sake is pretty varied from very sweet to dry. Be adventurous, try something different everytime!

Prices are waaaaay too high! The menu is not up to date at all. There is too much competition for the prices to be this high. Service is good.

First time here when visiting Houston. Definetly not one of the best i had. So far I enjoyed both their rolls and sashimi. Very fresh fresh. Of course when you come across good quality, u must pay the price. Although, I had paid less for same quality. I’m a favorite albacore lover and this place has a melting in your mouth quality. All three rolls were all new mix and I don’t recommend to get all at the same time as they tasted almost similar but I enjoyed them all. Once in a while but will go broke coming here too often :)

This sushi is pretty good for the area, but it’s not the best I’ve ever had. I’ve been here a few times and it’s always been amazing but the last time I went it was just sushi. Usually I’m so excited to go out for sushi but this compared closely to HEB sushi. It was good but not worth the $ 78 for 4 rolls and 2 beers. Our service was really slow and the waiter didn’t seem to care whether he was there or not. I’ll go back because it usually serves me well and is the best in the area. Hopefully I have a better experience next time.
