Best pizza in Weatherford. Hands down. Worth the wait and the price, every time. Eat local. Eat local at businesses that support this town. Great place!

I had read about this place from a Taste of Parker County newspaper article. We happen to be in the Weatherford area a lot lately and I bookmarked several places. It was a Friday night and pizza sounded great. The young lady that helped us at the front counter was very sweet and asked us if it was our first time. It was so she gave us 2 free drinks. This was a nice and unexpected surprise. We ordered a large cheeseburger pizza which she stated was an excellent choice. Yay us! I also got a small side salad with thousand island dressing. It was around $ 2.50 and the dressing is packaged– which I am ok with. We found a booth and waited for our playing card to be called(you are given an over-sized playing card which is used as opposed to a name or number to be called). The pizza came out hot, fresh, and DELICIOUS. We LOVED it. The very sweet owner Roger came out and introduced himself. Very nice gentleman that has been operating this establishment for almost 40 years! Wow! Roger brought us some creamy Italian dressing to dip our pizza in and that was nice. He also brought a to go menu to us and went over some of his best recommendation for future visits. One of which is the chef salad which I look forward to trying. This was a great experience for us and I ate WAY more slices than I normally do I look forward to going back again soon. For now I may just head to the refrigerator for a cold slice for breakfast!!!

My husband and I thought we’d check out the place voted best pizza in Weatherford and picked up a pepperoni pizza to go. This was the absolute worst pizza I’ve ever had! This stuff was like cardboard, dry and tasteless— we literally threw away an entire pizza, it was that bad! Don’t waste your time, money or your tastebuds here. I hate even giving them one star, it was that bad.

I ordered the sub sandwich. The lunch came with chips and drink. It also was toasted. For a long nick portion it really is a good size. I highly recommend it if you are not getting pizza. The service is nice and friendly. This place has been here a while so the usual customers know what to expect. Nice place.

Pizza was good the first time but lackluster the second and last time. Long waits both times and was given wrong sides the second time but didn’t notice till on the road. Expensive which is fine but not for the overall experience here. Please hire competent people to operate the phones and front area.

I’ve been getting the lunch special here for 20 years — small pizza, salad, and a fountain drink. The crust is unique; I’ve never had crust like it. Only disappointment is that the salad dressing comes in a plastic packet, but that’s a very minor quibble.

This pizza is small, overpriced, and the crust is too thick and dry. Very little cheese. Their large is the size of other pizza restaurants medium and about twice the price in some cases. It is not a good value at all. We cant figure out why anyone would give this place good reviews. We understand its a school hangout and its a cool looking place but that shouldnt excuse the quality or cost of this pizza.

I wish I could leave a better review for this place. We were anxious to try it and know that it had been around for a long time, and had good reviews as well. But this truthfully was the worst pizza I have ever eaten. Took 35 minutes to get mine and my daughters pizza, then we had to wait another 10 minutes to get my wife’s pizza

The staff is friendly! I didn’t meet Sammy or Jordan but Taylor was very helpful. I told her it was my first visit and she gave me a free drink. I also told her about Unilocal and she said she is going to check it out. The pizza was not bad at all. Positive= no limits to toppings. Negative=not enough pizza sauce. I love the atmosphere in the restaurant. I will definitely come back. Oh also the have Italian dipping sauce made in house! It’s pretty damn good. And I’m usually not a fan of dipping my pizza in anything.

My mother was having surgery at the nearby hospital. We were all hungry and still had a few hours to wait. I am from out of state and didn’t want to order food from a chain restaurant. I saw that the pizza place was close enough to pick up and had good reviews. We ordered a cheeseburger + bacon and a pepperoni pizza. We also ordered a kids pasta w pizza sauce. I was surprised that it came with a side salad and a piece of bread. When my 3 year old and I arrived to pick up our order we were greeted by a sweet girl named Sammy. My son was immediately impressed with the place. He loved all of the stickers on the outside windows and the stairs. And the candy Machines. We paid for our order, very reasonably priced. I mentioned that I was from out of town and told her that we were at the hospital. Sammy was so kind to my son and I. The food was great. The crust is a little different but had ok flavor. Toppings were generous. The side salad was basic but good. Green leaf lettuce which I prefer to iceberg. The ranch dressing was great– I’m a very picky ranch connoisseur! The chocolate chip cookies were soo good. Nice and soft. My parents just moved to Weatherford. I snagged a menu for them to keep for their take out file. Our family will definitely return. And special thanks to Sammy for being a highlight in my very long, draining day. I wish you the best!

First time ordered. First thing, no white sauce, only traditional red I was told. I don’t care to much for red. But I understand that a personal thing. Second I ordered over the phone for delivery and it was either so loud in the back ground or the gal who answered was hard of hearing. I had I repeat myself over and over and over. Hoping my order is correct upon arrival… Ok, it arrived hot, fast, very nice driver but… The crust is horrible. The pizzas tiny, a medium is 8⁄9 inches. The crust is the pre made kind. Tastes and smells like it was frozen earlier today. Bread sticks are the same thing. There is cheese in them and the dough is just not good. They sent nothing to dip them in. Which is needed because their yuck. It is edible but nothing to write to anyone about. Should have just gone and grabbed something from the frozen food section. I’ll pass this place next time. I like a more fresh, hand tossed kind of joint. Only thing good was the delivery.

Mr. Grizzard runs a delicious pizza joint. This has been my favorite place to eat pizza for the last fifteen years. It’s family owned and operated. It’s made with quality, fresh ingredients. I always order pepperoni and hamburger because the in-house hamburger meat is so crumbly and well-seasoned. I love to dip the slice in the creamy Italian dressing, too! The crust is a nice hybrid between regular and thin – it’s crispy on bottom but has some softness for you to sink your teeth into!

Excellent service. Pizzas are all handmade from the crust to the toppings. Creamy Italian dressing for dipping sauce is great. Good prices Highly recommend this place for all ages

After attending our event, The Pizza Place was our second eatery stop in Weatherford. My girlfriend has fond memories of this place from her childhood, so it was a must-stop when we came to Weatherford. Walking in, I definitely understand why, as this place has been untouched by time. Any child of the eighties would love this place as it harkens back to the old-school pizza places of dimly lit, greasy spoon pizzerias adorned with wood paneling about. In this day and age of trendy restaurants, The Pizza Place is a holdover of a time now lost. As should be expected with any classic pizzeria, the pizza also was great. We ordered just a hamburger pizza to go, as it was The Girlfriend’s childhood favorite. It wasn’t overly cheesy and the crust was great, probably my favorite part. A cool aspect of the hamburger pizza is that the meat is not served in massive pieces as is often seen on most hamburger/sausage pizzas, but instead in very fine, smaller pieces. The combination of great crust and toppings definitely makes this for one of the better pizzas I have had in the DFW area in a while. I would equate the thickness of the pizza to Mama’s for those familiar with the famous Fort Worth chain. We definitely plan on going back to try their other pies for our next trip to Weatherford.

Heard lots of good things about this place. Seems to be the best pizza place in Weatherford hands-down. My wife and I ordered a Extra Large sampler pizza with jalapenos(the idea was to take home leftovers for the next day), and an order of cheese stuffed bread sticks. The girl at the counter was very friendly. Wait time for our order was about 20 to 25 minutes. Once we got our food, the owner Roger, came by our table and greeted us. He was very nice and offered to bring us some dipping sauces for the breadsticks. He brought us a small cup of homemade spaghetti sauce and a small cup of garlic butter — both very tasty. The pizza was LOADED with toppings(see pics). Prices weren’t too bad… and the food quality trumps places like Dominos, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, etc. We were very pleased overall and will return again.
