This place is called The Switch now and has moved to Millsap. The old location is now another café. The place in Millsap is great but I can’t find it on Unilocal.Either way it’s worth the stop for chicken fried steak for sure.

All I can say is Awesome. Ordered the chicken fried steak and I cut it with a fork. It was lightly crispy even drenched in gravy. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Excellent waitress too. One thing I don’t like is the bathroom in the hot weather. It’s a sauna in there. Yikes. However, this place is so good. Never had a bad meal yet.

We stumbled on the place using Unilocal.Excellent food and character. It was busy, but the service was excellent. I had the Cowboy bowl which has beans, brisket, cheese and onions. At the table I added jalapeños and spicy BBQ sauce(it was homemade). I would like to return to try their breakfast and cobbler(maybe not at the same time.) This is a comforting spot I hope to visit again and again.

Loved this little greasy spoon, just what we were looking for. First impression, clean tablecloths! Usually at other restaurants they are free of crumbs but still sticky where you can’t put your elbows on the table. Waitress was very attentive. Brought me cream when she noticed I didn’t care for coffeemate. Ham was good(wish there were more though). Bacon good & pancakes made right! Crisp edges and light tasting. Not sure if they used Bisquick but if they did, they did it right! Hasbrowns, crisp on the outside, soft on the inside and yes a lot of grease but were very tasty! Owner stopped by our table to check on us which we appreciated!

No disclaimer here, I’m not related to anyone here. This is my fourth maybe fifth time here, and have never been disappointed. I’ve had breakfast several times, it’s better than good(see photo’s) and for a price you won’t see at a chain restaurant. Today I tried the Chicken Fried Steak, again ranks right up there with the best I’ve ever had. Last time I had the Spam sandwich, yes Spam. It was great! They also have bologna sandwich I’ve heard is made with Mark’s smoked bologna, that’s next on my list. Homemade cobbler on Friday and Saturday’s, fried catfish, brisket, pulled pork, Mesquite BBQ sold on a plate or by the pound. I come here from Grapevine, it’s worth the drive! Oh, and one more thing… Sue S. — have you ever written a good review? Your’s is about you not this place. Try The Lambert Switch Café, you”ll be glad you did.

So, disclaimer, the owner is my uncle’s son(my half cousin?), so I’m a little biased BUT… I loved the small town charm of this spot. Mark and his family run and staff the place. His daughter was our waitress. The food is tasty and the decorations have that western vibe to it. I had the 2 egg scrambled egg breakfast with biscuits and gravy and sausage and it did not disappoint. Even if I didn’t know the owner through family, and I lived here(I’m just visiting from CA), I would frequent it often because of the nice people and the tasty food. Check it out next time you’re looking for a yummy food spot in the area.

We ate breakfast there, and it took over 30 minutes to get the meal, even though there was only one other couple in the place. The bacon was burned, and the cook had no idea how to scramble an egg. The plate was full of grease.

I had breakfast there about 7:30am. I had the two egg breakfast that included two eggs any style, bacon, hash brown potatoes, toast and biscuits and gravy. Food was tasty and plentiful. I enjoyed a good conversation with the owner Mark Davis. They have a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. Open 5:30am until 8:00pm. I noticed the Kennedy meats and Jess Hall spices. Definitely worth a try
