The rep is this used to be a decent homestyle diner place years ago. We went today for late breakfast and had the sausage mushroom scramble and some hot wings with blue cheese dip. Before I ordered, I asked if the wings were whole, or segments. The server said whole wings, which usually means fresh wings which I like. What arrived were six small segments, not whole wings, out of a freezer with a small cup of cheap flavorless blue cheese salad dressing, not actual bleu cheese for Eight bucks. The scramble had underdone potatoes, cheap sausage link chunks and nothing that tasted like mushrooms. The coffee tasted really cheap. The flatware looked dirty, the service was barely adequate, and we could have had far better anywhere else for the price. I love to support locally owned small places over corporate chains, but based on what we had we will not be back. My lady said it used to be good years ago and it is nothing close to what it was the last time she was there. Very disappointing.

Picked up a pizza last night from this dirty little dive. Came home with what amounts to a cold piece of flat bread. Never again.

Great comfort food breakfast, arrived after the Church crowd and found a table right away.

First time here in Minnesota visiting my girlfriends family. We decided to have a pizza night. Being from new York my expectations on pizza anywhere else are always low. But let me tell ya this pizza is very good. The red sauce is delicious and the crust was also very good. What a pleasant suprise!

They deliver, but recently added a delivery charge. Regular staff is very cranky. Newbies are slow. I only order breakfast as Maggies puts GREENPEPPERSINEVERYTHING and I can’t eat them.

I gave Maggie’s two chances. Once for dinner and once for breakfast. First, there is no «service.» The waitress scowls at everyone who walks in the door. No «Hello» when she greets you. Just pulls out notepad and scowls you down until you just start ordering. As for dinner: the croutons were inedible. Made from the same bread as everything else, but so hard you could break a tooth. Had to pick each one off the salad. Iceberg lettuce salad. Asked for balsamic dressing… waitress didn’t know what that was, so obviously, they didn’t have it. French toast is made from same bread as garlic bread(it’s all just buttered toast basically, except one has syrup on it). Ordered the eggs and hashbrowns with dry toast. Toast came loaded with butter. Hashbrowns came out 10 minutes after my eggs.(Weird). Hubby ordered lasagna. He said he thought it was the Stauffer’s frozen lasagna. It was loaded with so much cheese, he had to pull half of it off. As for the breakfast: Received more scowls. Felt like waitress was mad we were in the restaurant. I don’t know how this place stays in business. Ordered«extra crispy bacon»(it’s the only way my son will eat it). Came out barely cooked and limp. I asked if she could just pop it in the microwave(she did). Pancakes are flat and rubbery(not fluffy). The place seems very unfriendly towards kids too(no crayons or coloring pages) and scowls from the waitress. We won’t be going back.

No frills, but very good place to go for breakfast. Fast, friendly, efficient service. Our server, Nancy, got our order exactly right, with a bunch of specifications. Slice of ham with our eggs was tasty and moist. In and out in a half hour.

A classic American diner. I went here one morning and got a breakfast containing eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast. This is pretty much the standard breakfast for me. The hash browns were done to perfection, and the toast — mmm the toast. I don’t know if it was brioche or not, but man is it delicious. Nice town, nice place, ohh plus you can check out the lake.

Sadly, this place has went down hill. I think the down turn in the economy and the construction took a toll. The service? I have to agree with some of the posters. Crabby waitress, looks like she hates her life. Breakfast, is it so hard to make scrambled eggs? Rubbery and cold(the kitchen was 20 ft from me). Sausages are about the cheapest they could buy. I watched people try to flag down someone for a coffee refill… unsuccessfully. About the only thing thst happens fast, is you get your check and the feeling is «leave»… Its sad, because 8 – 10 years ago, I considered it one of the best breakfasts around.

They have a ridiculous amount of options on their menu. The service was decent, our drinks were very strong, especially the Mountain Dew. My life coach should have been cut off after his fourth dew. Between the man making airplane noises with his fork and rob who was extremely loud on the phone to the tables next to us, the food was incredible. Call me if you have anymore questions! I would welcome the opportunity to discuss further. 612−501−6864.

4 stars for what it is: a diner. I only deducted 1 star because my eggs were a LITTLE overcooked, it seems a LITTLE expensive and the server took a LITTLE too long to greet us. We visited on a busy Sunday morning, but had no time sitting down at a booth. The atmosphere is what you would expect in a diner in an affluent suburb and the staff was friendly. My girl had the crab Benedict(eggs benedict with a crab cake instead of the Canadian bacon) and I had the Maggie’s special which was 2 eggs over easy, ham, hash browns and two pieces of French toast. The French toast was delicious, the eggs were slightly overcooked and the ham and hash browns were good but unremarkable… just typical frozen supermarket stuff. The crab Benedict was good too with perfectly poached eggs and a tasty, albeit, reconstituted hollandaise. The crab cake was, again, what you would expect for $ 11 in a diner — more breading than crab — but the meat was sweet and tasty and overall the dish was a winner. All told, about $ 32 with tip which seems like a lot to me but maybe I’m just behind the times. We will definitely go back though, by all accounts the pizza is quite legendary and we must try — the pies we saw coming out of the kitchen as we were leaving looked delicious!

Maggie’s pizza may be the best pizza I’ve ever had. Their thin crust sausage and onion pizza is excellent. The onions are super sweet and they use just the right amount of ingredients.

Stopped by this little spot on a Sunday afternoon. We were greeting promptly and given menus. They have quite the selection of different options. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive to us. I ordered«WBLT» which was a BLT with Walleye. It was decent. The fish was tad soggy but all in all pretty good. The place could use a once«all over» kind of cleaning, otherwise I was pleased with the overall experience. I would recommend grabbing on the of the seats away from the kitchen. It is an open kitchen and they were fairly busy so there was a lot of noise which I would expect from a kitchen! I could easily see this place being«the Saturday» place for breakfast. Reasonable prices.

food is always good, but they have horrible service. keeps getting worse! I really think the one waitress despises her job. We sat at a dirty booth for 15 mins before someone even acknowledged we were there.

The food here is always great! Breakfast lunch or dinner, the menu is big and has something to please everyone. Breakfast-don’t skip the hash and french, it’s amazing. Lunch– they have a great Ruben, club supreme and if they have the Cuban as a special go for it. Dinner– you can’t go wrong with any of the pizza or italian dinners. The garlic toast that accompanies the meals is the best. Down home feel in beautiful small town. Not pretentious and very affordable.

THE best French toast in the country. Do you like the taste of French Toast? Great, then eat some here. You’ll be in heaven. What’s that you say? You don’t like the taste of French Toast? Well then I got nothing to say to you my man cause your mouth is broken. Get that shit fixed and come enjoy some Maggie’s.
