Nothing special. Lackluster. Meh. I was really excited to try this quaint lil place in Navarre, and was left with mediocre disappointment. My family and I went around 11:30a –12 noon on a Sunday, and there was only one young teenage boy working, and I felt bad for him. With our baked goods order for the 5 of us, he still did not manage to get my coffee started by the time we finished our breakfast treats. –the baked goods aren’t made in house, they’re just brought in from their Anoka location or something, they’re really«nothing to write home about»…on the same level as just a gas station donut or something corporate. –nothing is labeled in the cases, so i had to awkwardly ask him what everything was… I inquired as to why, he said they would just get dirty…(uhh…) As you can see in my photos, we tried the following(idk correct labels, as there were no signs, so bear with me); –a couple old fashioned fried donuts, topped with chocolate –an apple fritter –a traditional ring donut with chocolate frosting and sprinkles –donut holes: 1 cinnamon & sugar + 1 powdered sugar –a maple, nut something –an mini stinger thing with cream inside(in the refrigerated case) –a hot croissant sandwich with sausage, egg & cheese –some lemon filled thing … it was quite the schmorgasborg we ordered… Also we experienced these things: –the simple, handwritten, ordinary, quick free hand chalkboard signs were inaccurate, and seemed too inconvenient to change it, but some items were taken to paper coverings… –no coffee brought out, or even started… then proceeded to tell me, at decent length with seemingly partial effort of complexity, how he’d have to dig up and find the ticket to refund my partial order(because I just wanted to leave with my family and be on with our day) … I’m getting annoyed just reflecting back on it. Sadly understaffed for a weekend morning, unmemorable baked foods, and a disappointing experience, all rolled into a memory of a place I shan’t return to… Can I go back to Tampa for some hot, in-house decedent Soho donuts now? *drools at happy bakery memories*

I went here for the first time the other day for donuts. They were good, nothing spectacular. I was hoping for some really great donuts. I was disappointed they did have a larger selection. I think their Anoka location might have a lot more variety. My daughter and I got a Sting or whatever they call it. It’s a small version of their signature beehive cake or something that goes for about $ 16. The Sting was $ 2.99 and that was over priced. I wouldn’t get that again. It was kind of dry and nothing special. We also bought some donuts holes, raised donuts with sprinkles and a turn over. They were fine, but I don’t know about going out of my way again. I’m sure I’ll probably go here a few more times to see if they really grab me, but so far they don’t. The prices were not too bad and their staff was really nice and friendly.

Huge and fluffy donuts for the same price as a gas station. We go Sunday mornings and if you get there early enough, the donuts are still warm and very fresh-tasting. A little plain décor-wise, but definitely busy.

These are fantastic doughnuts; light and fluffy. Yes, do a taste test! I bought some from the place off 94 in Clearwater… very good stuff. However, their doughnuts feel heavy like a brick compared with Hans’ stuff. The frosting is light and fluffy, without being overly sweet. This is now by far my favorite doughnut spot ever!!! I went to the Navarre(Orono) location.

Absolutely nothing out of the ordinary. Tastes no different and maybe worse than bakery items from any commercial bakery. The woman at the register said nothing is baked in the Orono shop, its all brought over from the Anoka shop. Save your gas and go to your local Holiday station for cheaper, identical pastries. Seriously, try a blind taste test.
