One of my favorite spots in waynesville. Comfortable booths for hanging out with friends. Great beer and food. Very friendly crowd. Unfortunately they’re not open on Sundays.

Good beers good vibe. Enjoyed my experience overall but I wasn’t a huge fan of the couple of beers I tried. The IPA called«Punch in the face» was a little blah for the name. I love big IPAs and was just a little disappointed given the name and all. Stout was solid. Porter was good. Chunky Gal was a good session beer. Definitely could’ve had a few of those in a sitting. I would certainly return and would recommend a visit if ever in the area.

We’ve been regulars here for years. Great pub food and atmosphere. My husband loves the Punch You in the Face IPA!

Love the bar and the hippie vibe. IPA is boring and tasteless. Bartender was pretty cool. Food was bland Had the wings… meh. …

Last night, after a movie at the reopened Strand Theatre(GREAT!) we headed down to the Tipping Point for a brew and snack. The server selected a local? beer that tasted a bit like Stella, and we were satisfied. The chips and salsa? Not so much. The chips were of poor quality and were«doughy» and not salty enough. The salsa was too dense, had no fresh ingredients, and tasted like it had come out of a big restaurant wholesale can. In a word, the salsa was awful. At $ 5.50 for a basket of cheap chips and a small bowl of bad salsa, we’d say the quality was poor and the corresponding price was outrageous. These are the same people who own Frog’s Leap, our favorite restaurant in town. So there’s no excuse for cheap snacks at high prices. Frogs Leap has awesome food! The ambiance in this place is great. Overall, we loved it but the owners need to serve really good bar snacks at reasonable prices if they expect this place to take off and snag some of Bogart’s business!

While on vacation, my friends and I visited The Tipping Point twice, and had great experiences both times. Lisa, our bartender both times, was AWESOME. The food was great, drinks were not expensive(unless you had as many as we did) and the atmosphere was very cool. I mean, who has Tetris Tots? I’ll definitely be going back the next time we visit NC.

The beer here is fantastic but I’d recommend skipping the food. It is average bar food, nothing special.

Becoming a regular, great local hang-out with great food, drinks and locals… tonight was tini-Tuesday with specials on martinis, they also have trivia night and daily food specials that have all been delicious… will be returning often!

Tipping Point is one of the better breweries in the Waynesville area. It is to the far end of Main Street and can be easily missed, unless you’re on a mission or already know where you’re going. We were warmly greeted by Summer, who turned out to be just an extraordinary waitress and really cool person. She kept me and the kids entertained and happy. Loved the Star Wars coloring pages! Probably the most well-known beer from here is their Punch in the Face IPA — I found it to be good, but not great; a little bitter for my personal tastes. What really rang my bell was the Blueberry Blonde, made with fresh blueberries. It was a really nice, refreshing summer beer using their Hiking Viking Blonde recipe with some tweaks. Mayor Brown(Brown Ale) and Pale of the Dragon get honorable mentions. The booths here have tie dyed cloth dividers. Saturdays they offer $ 5 Bloody Mary’s and they are really good(and strong). Food is served here as well. We saw lots of happy patrons eating. The menu contained a lot of items where they use their beer as an ingredient = nice!!!

After a hike on the Blue Ridge we decided to visit Waynesville for dinner. After checking Unilocal and conferring with a few locals, we decided to eat here. In my opinion, it did not hold up to reviews, but that doesn’t mean it was bad either. everything was just average. It’s not a place I’d be rushing to revisit. We had a burger, We had a beer. Mission accomplished. But, for a place like this I expected more … and they have the potential to do much better if they decided to do so. Bottom line. You’ll have an «okay» experience, but nothing to rave about.

I finally got to try the food here and it was yummy — the burger with Cajun Brussel sprouts and some of the goat cheese poppers to start. I also had the Chunky Gal this time and it was a tasty beer. They use it in their batter for various items on the menu. I thought the name was a little funny until a local mentioned that there is a riding trail(or maybe a mountain) nearby with that name. Another local at the bar started chatting us up about things to do in the area. The bartender was also very friendly. They have the nicest employees and regulars here.

We will be moving to Waynesville & looking around town, we went in for lunch. Our server was Summer. She was fabulous! We had a lot of questions about the area, Summer was very helpful, oh & the food was excellent too!

Solid beers, especially the porter and pale, which seem better then when I first visited a couple years ago. Food is pretty good too so yeah, I dig the place.
