Excellent sushi rolls!!! Ginza, samurai, Alaska, spider roll were all incredible. The split seaweed salad and squid salad are generous portions and also very legit. A true gem in Waynesville!

I absolutely love this place. It’s quaint, affordable, and the sushi chef was very attentive. My only complaint was that the volcano roll was COVERED in spicy sauce, but my daughter loved it, so to each his own. We’ll definitely be back

This restaurant is all over the place! When it was in Kmart Plaza, the food was incredible! Then the owner got into an argument which turned into a lawsuit with the nail salon that had opened next door. Which she subsequently lost. Then she was closed for a very long time only to reopen in a spot that is not heavily trafficked. We finally went there recently to try it out again. Here is what has changed… the sushi was not good at all. There was no shrimp in the shrimp tempura roll. It was just fried breading. The sushi at the other restaurant was incredible. Same sushi chef so not sure what happened! The prices have also gone up. Here is what has NOT changed… the constant bickering of the owner(and sushi chef) to her husband(the only server). She emasculates and belittles this man in front if customers to the point of it being awkward to dine there. I truly feel sorry for him. The service was horrible as we stopped in for a quick bite but ended up wasting our Friday night because it took 2.5 hours to get our food! It would have been worth it if the sushi had been good. My boyfriend is Japanese so we eat a lot of sushi in our household and we know sushi! We have several favorites in western NC but sadly, this is definitely not one of them. He did not even eat his roll after tasting the first bite. Very disappointing.

I’ve lived in Waynesville for a year and a half now. This place has moved since the first reviewer covered it. Then it was closed for a long time due to a family illness. I read a Facebook post saying it had finally opened again and I have to say it was worth the wait. My nephew and I decided to try it for lunch. We were very pleased with the lunch menu and shocked at how low the prices. Two rolls each, soup and drinks for less than $ 20. The service was impeccable! The rolls were tailored to our taste and for heat. Very attentive waiter, waitress and chef. I will definitely return at least once a week if not more.

Best Sushi you will find in Western North Carolina… even including Asheville. The location is suspect when you first get there. It is in an ugly shopping center next to a K-Mart…but you know you are in the right place when you go inside. The owner is, well different. She can be impatient and does not put up with shenanigans. Enjoy yourself or get out! :) Sometimes we call her the Sushi-Natzi…but she is a wonderful person once you sit down and get to know her. All regulars end up loving her. As for the food? Like I said, best sushi around. Reasonably priced. You can’t go wrong… if you can find it open the night you wish to go…
