Haywood County Tourism Visitors Center

We were driving through Waynesville on our way to a nearby waterfall and ended up on Main Street. It looked like such an adorable little town that we decided to take a stroll and window shop.
Our first store was the Visitor’s Center and in the window was a bunch of different brochures for all sorts of things. To be honest, there was one on everything about beer breweries the area, so we decided to go in (since Glenn already wanted to visit Oskar Blues).
They had a huge assortment of brochures for everything from waterfalls to malls to towns to forests to touristy stuff to river rafting to maps. There was something available to entertain anyones interest. But the beer one that I wanted wasn’t there so I asked the lady behind the counter. She was so sweet and helpful. She even told us which breweries had decent food and gave us her opinion of some local places.
If only everyone in Waynesville was this sweet. We left and walked a couple stores down and a lady saw a brochure in my hand and very politely asked if I was just at the Visitor Center. I told her yes and she wished me a nice visit to their little town and hoped I’d return in the future. Turns out everyone in Waynesville is nice.
