Went recently for a prix fixe menu and when I made the non-refundable reservation I was promised a complimentary glass of champagne and the woman on the phone said there were only 2 seats left and made it sound like it was urgent to book now… so I did. When we arrived it was empty and only 1 other couple came for the first hour… and they were taking walk-ins for the rest of the night… the place was never more then 50% full before 7(she made us book for 5pm!). The menu had some«last minute adjustments»(no more oysters — they were now an add on). While paying the $ 300 bill($ 125 pp plus 20% tip) my boyfriend asked if we could get a slice before heading home because he was still hungry… and I was too. You would think you would be full after a $ 300 meal for 2… but we weren’t so we got pizza and went home and I popped a bottle of champagne so I could have my glass that was never given to me at cornerstone. I will not return… unless I win the lottery and go on a diet that restricts my calorie intake. What a let down.

My husband and I had brunch here and there was no one else there… And we don’t understand why! It was a delicious, interesting menu! The décor is so cute, and the staff especially the owner are super friendly and personable. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner. We will most definitely be back to try lunch and dinner too, with a bottle of our own wine.

Main Line location(across from Wayne Station) with a culinary high end Nantucket pedigree, Cornerstone is a fantastic addition to the Wayne dining scene. Only issue will be getting seats(reservations highly recommend/a necessity) unless you wander in at 5 and promise to eat and leave quickly as there are only 15 seats. Tapas style makes it fun to share plates(but you won’t) and the cheese and charcuterie plates are great. Did I mention it’s BYOB? #Winning Haven’t tried breakfast or Lunch yet but the menu looks great for that as well. Great guest chef series happening mid week twice a month I was told, and apparently Wednesday is a busy as a Friday/Saturday. Great cheese shop if no seats available, and the owners and staff are fantastic and very accommodating. Fun crowd as well.
