Above and Beyond Road Service

These folks are pretty good for what they do and at a very reasonable price. Prompt service and efficient. My car would not start for the last one month or so. I called them through AAA and one of the guys came in before time to put the new battery on as my old one (2009) was nearly dead. Even after the swap the car would not start as the starter/​alternator was dead too which I suspected to begin with anyway. So another guy came in the evening to replace the starter with a new one. Took me a couple of minutes to deal with his sense of humor as he got off his truck and asked me «which tire?» and I was like «are you sure you are on the right call?» Anyway, he took about ¹⁵⁄₂₀ minutes to put the new one in and did a perfect job on that. My old ’95 Camry is up and running again. The AAB price is very reasonable too compared to what I found locally. I will seek their help again if something goes wrong with my car in future. Way better than some of the local workshops here in Malvern, PA.

My car wouldn’t start so I called AAA Roadside Assistance. Above and Beyond was the contractor assigned to my call. The dispatcher was very friendly and even called me to let me know that the driver was stuck in traffic and that he would be about 10 minutes later than expected. When the driver (Mike) arrived, he was very professional and courteous. He was able to diagnose the car as having a failing battery (battery was 4 years old to begin with) and replaced the battery on-​the-​spot in less than 5 minutes at a comparable price to driving to AutoZone and doing it myself.
I’ve been serviced by other roadside assistance contractors in the past and none of them even come close to the speed, courtesy, and efficiency of Above and Beyond!

I had to call AAA when my car wouldn’t start. They in turn sent Above And Beyond to check my battery & electrical. I was told if jumping my car didn’t work, they would diagnose the problem and AAA would send a tow truck to take me to my mechanic/​dealer. Well, the guy who came from A & B knew it was the battery right away. He got my car working again and told me I needed to get a new battery ASAP. He also suggested (without any push) that I consider a AAA battery which has a 6 year warranty. My «bad» battery was the one the car came with and was only a 3-​year battery. I asked how much they run and then considered the hassle of having to have it put in. He said he could do it right then and it would only take 15 minutes. He also gave me a better battery because he didn’t have the right one in his truck — and he only charged me for the one I should have gotten. 15 minutes later I had a brand new 6-​year battery, no charge for the service (covered under AAA) and was back up and running. The guy was so extremely nice and helpful. He was informative and never once pushed me to use A & B for my battery replacement. Excellent experience all around and my new go-​to for road service!
