A Waxahachie original! Small, thin meat patties, so get the double(or triple) hamburger. All cooked on a flat top, so you see(feel?!) the grease hanging in the air when you enter the tiny dining area. The chicken sandwich is really good, too. Not fancy. Not a large variety. No french fries. Just very simple and tasty! They offer a frequent diner punch card to earn free burgers. Yeah!

Oma’s is what it is. Breakfast sandwiches. Hot dogs. Burgers. You need to ask about what you are ordering if you’ve never been here or you could end up with a plate full of chili over the bottom half of your burger and a knife and fork. Seriously. The patties are small and one will not be enough. My absolute favorite is «the large»(2 patties) cheeseburger with bacon and extra pickles(you will get alot of pickles!). There are no French fries or onion rings. Chips! The inside is old school counter/stools and a few big booths. Out back is a very nice covered area with multiple picnic tables and TV’s. There are two or three small tables in the garden in the sunshine. Eat here if you are keeping it simple and very tasty.

By far the Best Burger I have ever had, you need to at least get the double or the triple! Or you will regret it and have to order another because they are so dang good! Love this place and the new patio! When will you add some fries or Onion Rings?

I love the location and set up of this place. It has the old time nostalgic burger vibe going on. The menu is small which exactly what you want to see in a place like this. However, the food is not anything special. I love their version of the burger with small patties and rustic cut on the veg. However, I am mystified why they would not season these burgers. Not salt, no pepper, no nothing. No place is too good or «authentic» to season the meat and it is a real shame. But, I’ll be back, maybe with some Lawry’s Season Salt in my pocket.

Oma’s is a must when I come home from college! Great little place. Some reviewers are saying burgers are small but so are the prices, it’s cheaper than fast food. Regular is great for kids, adults should order a double. And the BANANAPUDDINGISAMAZING. try it, you’ll be glad you did.

OMG Oma’s why are you hiding in a little tiny corner in Waxahachie?!! Absolutely amazing burgers! No fries, but the burgers make up for it, believe me! I just wish they would get a new place or expand so that more people can find them. I’ve been around Waxhachie my whole life and would’ve never heard of the place if a co-worker didn’t drag me there!

Don’t bother… Tiny burger patties with who knows what in them. No French fries. The building is flashing apart. The only thing keeping this place going is the locals who don’t know better. Head over to whataburger instead if you want good fast food burger. Here you are just going to get crap fast food.

I have eaten at Oma’s Jiffy Burger since old lady Oma herself was behind the counter. This place is an original, not copied elsewhere, and that’s what makes it special. The burgers are not massive by any stretch, but they are awesome! It’s been awhile since I’ve been there, but I am pretty sure they don’t serve fries. May I recommend for a full on dining experience, try to sit at the bar. I always try to, and if you are going to order, get a couple of Oma Burgers, a bag of BBQ chips and a Dr Pepper in a glass bottle.(Do they still have glass bottles?) When you think Waxahachie and local staples, this place comes to everyone’s mind. I hope it never ever goes away. Now my wife and kids enjoy it when we come to visit.

Really enjoyed this place! Service was great and food was quick! The burgers are on the smaller side, but they’re really good. Can’t go wrong here.

Only giving 4 stars because I haven’t had the burgers yet but breakfast was ridiculous! Ordered ‘The Monster & Mini Monster’. Let’s just say I finally finished it as a late lunch or early dinner. Can’t wait to go back!

Kind of a fun, unique spot in Waxahachie but their food is not my favorite. The burgers are small and overly greasy. They also don’t serve fries. You get a bag of chips instead.

There are many different types of great hamburgers. Oma’s has more of a «slider» type hamburger. Not the new sliders that all of the bars in America are starting to sell… but a good old fashioned White Castle slider… only slightly larger. Thin meat. I stacked mine 3 high. If you don’t go with at least a double you will get a lot more bun than burger. But, the flavor was great and it is probably one of the best«slider» burgers that I have had. I also had one of their hot dogs… also on a hamburger bun… and it was great too. VERY friendly service. A real hole in the wall… but a great hole in the wall.

I consider myself a connoisseur of greasy cheeseburgers and I really enjoy the way my heart has to struggle to process them. I heard a lot about this place in town and was eager to try them. I was really disappointed. I asked for the largest cheeseburger they had and my wife and kids ordered theirs as well. When we got our food my burger patty was the same size as everyone else’s in my family. I was not happy. The restaurant itself is old and outdated so we decide ms to eat outside. We picked the first table outside closest to the restaurant and after I sit down I see that I am sitting by a gas can and leaf blower. Really?

It’s one of those small off the main road greasy burger dives that you have to try. It is a Waxahachie tradition. Simple, real burgers served up the way they have been for years and years. Quick service. Real food. Although burgers are their mainstay, I usually go for breakfast. Nothing like a monster(5 pounds of breakfast food stacked on a tortilla) out on the back patio on a cool morning with friends.

You’ll love Waxahachie, Texas staple Oma’s Jiffy Burger. Here are some reasons why: The old-timey bar feel the joint has The smell of burgers in the air The small-town feel on the inside The super-fast time it took to cook your burger The prices aren’t so bad for a real burger… Yes. A REAL burger. If you can’t fit up at the bar to eat your meal, they’ve got booths on the inside and a nice outdoor patio with multiple tables to sit at. The only con: NOFRIES :( I will be back, because this place ain’t going nowhere.

Great out of the way burger joint. Super nice folks. Cooked on a 70 year old grill. Get at least 2 patties. Condiments tucked between patties to keep it all together. Frito pie was gone in 60 seconds!

Classic diner style burger. Right sized patties. Amazing Frito Pie! The old pressed tin style ceiling is one of tons of small details that give this place vintage character. Warm staff serving great food makes for an experience you don’t get everywhere. This is a must try if you’re in Waxahachie!

Quaint little place, definitely worth stopping by for lunch or breakfast. We were driving on to Dallas when we decided to stop and eat. You walk in and it’s a small place, basically one room. You smell the smoke from the grill, which is indoors right next to to the register. The people who work there know their customers and call them by name. Small-town charm alright. The menu is just the right size. It seems like there are fewer options for lunch than for breakfast, but that’s okay. If you opt for the burger, the man at the register informs you that the patties are quite small. And he’s right. I got a 3 meat burger and was not quite satisfied. But you usually order chips along with your burger, so that’ll probably fill you up. The burger is good. It’s a lot like a burger you would expect at a summer cookout – the ingredients are fresh, but it’s a little sloppy and very tasty. I also got a chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich is also good. Not quite as small as the burger patties, but the burger does edge it out in taste. Overall it’s a very solid choice for lunch. Also, they have a very clean bathroom that displays the establishment’s thank you letters for its charitable gifts. I liked that. And I liked this place.
