Just had breakfast here. There was nothing wrong with service, our waitress was nice and great about refills. The food was iffy. My husband’s chicken fried steak was so heavily seasoned but the eggs were bland. My 4 year old had no complaints about his pancake. I ordered the chicken florentine crepes which were good but they were swimming in grease. Like… tip the plate and fill the bottom of a glass with grease. Probably won’t return to this location unless I was just coming for coffee.

Poor service, hair in food(likely from one of the two cooks with full beards and no nets) and unclean dining room area(filthy air vents, window shades, etc). Won’t be returning.

Big black hair right in the middle of my crêpe. This place is dirty– use to be a good place to eat. Won’t be going back, food is horrible. I told the waiter I could not eat that– he took $ 2.00 off my bill. Nasty place!!!

This place is filthy, the service is very poor, and the food is mostly very bad. I know that’s it’s a chain but the regional manager should go in an fire the GM and Assistant Managers for letting this place run in such a poor manner. Sitting at our table, it was fun playing a game called«Find the Smell.» We kept catching whiffs of urine and filthy carpet smell, not the best way to get your appetite going. Service was slow, painfully casual and uninterested. The food is such poor quality that Waffle House looks gourmet next to it. Skip it, Waffle House is across the street and is also open 24 hours.

Very hit or miss. Not the cleanest place. Food is almost always good. Servers are nothing to brag about, if they don’t write down your order, then your screwed. But still probably the best place for a classic breakfast in Waxahachie.

Service has been hit and miss here. I would say it has been 50⁄50 for us. It is an ok place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. If I am given a choice between the 3 when I go somewhere breakfast will probably win out most times for me.

Service is the worst. They bring you coffee and no creamer or sugar. They bring you breakfast and no utensils. By the time you ask the waitress to bring you everything else all the rest is cold. I would never go back…

I went here the other weekend. I was with one other person. We waited about 30 minutes before our waitress named Jesse showed up. She didn’t make eye contact as we ordered our drinks and pretty much just walked off. She returned 20 minutes later with our drinks and then walked off even though we were ready to order. 15 minutes later she returned to take our order. My friend ordered the Western Griddle Melt and I ordered the Bacon Temptation omelet. When we got our food another 30 minutes later his melt was cold and my omelet had maybe 3 pieces of bacon on it. When I complained about my omelet and my friend complained about his melt she rolled her eyes at us and walked away with the plates. We literally saw her shove my friend’s melt into the microwave. She came back with our meals, his was now too hot and mine was not cold with slightly more bacon. We muscled through our meals and left. When paying the bill I noticed Jesse has charged me extra for the bacon. She also added an 18% large group gratuity to our part of two. Never eat at this place, if you’re forced to I pray you get a different waitress.

I stayed away for a long time after an unpleasant experience. After a couple years, I decided to give them another chance. I ordered the caramel-apple pancakes. They came with two little slices of apple on the top — no caramel or nuts like the photo. The waitress was very unpleasant and did not like the fact that I asked that my pancakes have everything shown in the photo. When checking out, I handed the cashier(a manager in-training) my credit card. He looks at the card and says, «Sh*t.» He did not say, «How was everything?» Nor did he even greet us or thank us. I guess he didn’t like credit cards. I immediately went home and wrote an email to IHOP. I received no reply. I will not return to this IHOP again, and I’m not sure why people go there. Poor service; mediocre, overpriced food.
