Chicken Express

Let me just give you some tips. If you’re ordering for more than six, don’t be deterred by those angry glances, folks! Just put a smile on your face. I mean, not that it matters, but you don’t want to make matters worse when the shift manager comes out to flex their muscles and give you a good talking to. I mean how DARE you. They have to push those buttons on the register EIGHT TIMES. That mountain of chicken tenders in the background is just for decoration, you idiot!
Also, it doesn’t stop with the shift manager. All employees in the place will find various passive aggressive ways to let you know you suck for any order for more than four people. And don’t think being a regular gives you any points. The minute you have a lapse in judgement and threaten the integrity of that mountain of food under the heat lamps, you will rue the day!
I hope you have good utensils. Those plastic utensils they give you will NOT peel through the «lasagna» meal you ordered. The lasagna being chicken tenders, cole slaw, potato salad, a roll, and a napkin all mashed into a remarkably layered dinner delight. With gravy. Because they were mad at you.
I’ve been through two al-​natural child births, and both were less painful than going into this circus act.

This is my LAST time coming here. I’ve given them 2 chances to serve decent gizzards. They were so incredibly tough, although they’re supposed to be cooked fresh to order. It’s a shame that I couldn’t consume my order.

Chicken Express is as good as it gets, for me, personally. Maybe I am bias because this has been a staple since my private high school catered them in for lunch back in Georgia, or maybe it is just THAT delicious.
It was quite inspiring to visit a location in Dallas, as this is the home of Chicken Express, and the official partner of the Texas Rangers!
Everything is good to me but the highlight is the #1 or #2 with Mozzarella Sticks and Fries. DO NOT order dipping sauce for the chicken because the included gravy is there for that purpose. A sweet tea is the final piece to top off an excellent meal.
