Stayed here a couple of nights with my wife and absolutely loved it! We were in the Mark Twain room, which is upstairs in what use to be part of the attic. Wonderful antique furniture with a rather high, comfortable bed. Standing shower with glass walls, comfortable chairs, and Mark Twain books all over the place. Temperature was nice and cool in the room with 96 degree temps outside. Community single serve coffee maker just outside the door. Louis and Lind own the B&B and are just delightful! They have lived in the home with their family for decades, only fairly recently putting a huge amount of time and effort to remodel it as a B&B. They have stories to tell, and you will get to enjoy them while you eat the incredible breakfasts they will prepare for you. They also will leave a little treat for guests on the dining table late in the day. Wifi is available and a basic cable basic. Landscaping is immaculate and it was really nice to sit in the swing on the wrap around porch at night and sip adult beverages. Neighborhood is so architecturally interesting and is great to walk up and down the streets. Downtown is about a mile east and walkable with nice sidewalks and scenery. Our visit was just wonderful and we really enjoyed the care, comfort, and company of our hosts. Highly recommend the Chaska House!

An absolutely beautiful property with stunning décor in every room; fabulous in every way. The owners were very accommodating and their attention to detail superb! You can’t miss with this bed and breakfast! We stayed in the magnificent Mark Twain room and are already looking forward to the next time. We will be back with friends and family again and again!

Lived in Waxahachie 25 years and have never stayed there until this weekend. The host are gracious and interesting. The breakfast were both great tasting and the presentation is creative. The room I stayed in with had a «secret room». I’ve named it «Cindy’s Cocoon». Quiet and protective. My sister stayed in the connecting room with a King size bed in beautiful carved mahogany. Luxurious doesn’t begin to define it. We walked to the town square to shop and eat. Go, you will be happy.
