Duos Coffee & Ice Cream

Love the atmosphere! Delicious frozen yogurt and other treats! Best coffee spot in Waverly for sure.

I’m truly grateful that Waverly has a place like Duos. Although I’m not a coffee drinker, I’ve enjoyed everything else they have. It’s a great place to meet people or get some work done. And the ice cream is excellent!
My only complaint about Duos is that their Wi-​Fi doesn’t always cooperate with my Mac laptop. I have no problems anywhere else, but for some reason, the Duos Wi-​Fi won’t let me connect about 25−50% of the time. But Jim, the owner, or the barista working will reset the router for me and that usually fixes the issue for me.

I returned recently and had a much better result. Very good latte with no complaints. I’m a bit of a coffee snob and was likely a bit harsh in my initial review. It is a great option for a wide variety of people and groups.

I went there today with high hopes based on the other reviews. My Latte’ was very poor. No foam, bitter scalded milk taste. Maybe it depends on who is working? That is too bad. I should have asked for them to re-​make it– but if they don’t understand a high quality espresso beverage I’ve found it really is a waste of time to ask at other places.
We did have a scone that was excellent. The atmosphere and seating are good. The staff was nice.
Maybe it scores higher if your not going for an espresso/​milk drink?

Potent and balanced espresso in a quaint little town. The barista happily made me two Italian-​style macchiatos even though they weren’t technically on the menu. Prices are fantastic, like you’ve travelled back in time ten years. Service was as friendly as it gets (although what else did you expect in a tiny Midwestern village?) and street parking was easy as could be.
Duos is an exceptional provider of delicious caffeine. Pay a visit when in Waverly and you will be very, very pleased.

I go to Duos for coffee — bring my kids and wife for the ice cream. The place is very welcoming, and they have a great selection of both coffee and ice cream options.
If there are two things I would «complain» about — I would love to see maybe one more flavored coffee option — I believe they make 3 roasts available each day, and a couple times I’ve felt like I was sort of settling. BUT, but, but — I’ve always enjoyed my choice anyway.
Also, from a systems standpoint, I think they should reorganize the way the line moves. It’s not most efficient for their customers because they could find themselves standing in one line for coffee, then the other for ice cream (as I have) PLUS — for their sake, it’s easier to upsell if everyone moves through the same line for both options.
Those are small qualms and certainly don’t ruin the experience. We love this place. AND its a great place for me do have business meetings with small groups.
