Don Ramon Mexican Restaurant

The place isn’t what it used to be but the food is still alright. Service isn’t that good and the margaritas are a rip off.

Cocos formally Don Ramons is a complete disapointment. We were former regular customers to great good and service until it changed hands. The smaller portions of food, and higher prices is sad. always coming out cold and usually not what we ordered. Plenty of staff but never seem to get service, or food in a timely matter. I hope you like virgin Margaritas and paying top dollar for them. Well worth the drive to another Mexican restuaunt, do not waste your money here!!! (Would of given it no stars but had to put one up there)

Had the macho nachos and the wife had something with chicken and it was all yummy. Service was nice too

Pretty average mexican food IMO. Maybe I should have taken Derek B.‘s advice and had the nachos, cause he seems to think they are the bee’s knees.

Nothing too special here. Just an average Mexican food establishment. Not terrible, but nothing to set it apart from others.

I’m not big on Mexican food. But it’s a good place. The service was perfect. The food was good. They have lots of options for people that do love Mexican food. gotta try it!

I will start off with saying I’m not a fan of Mexican, but I’ve been to a bunch of Mexican restaurants as my husband loves it. Went here the Monday after Father’s Day to celebrate with our 2 year old. There are really nice booths along side the bar as you walk in. They seated us near the back next to the soda machine in their extra tables as the booths were all full.
I will say our glasses were never empty for more than two seconds. Service was really fast and portion sizes were huge. I got the fajita platter for two that could easily feed four. My husband got the Muchos Nachos as an appetizer and I really liked them. I’m not usually a nachos person. The only thing I will mention that I wasn’t a fan of was the watered down salsa that was on the table to start us off.
Overall, liked the food and service. The seating I think could have been a little bit more comfortable.

Darn you Don Ramon, the Nacho’s Macha’s is amazing. The food is extremely good and prices put even places in Mexico that I’ve eaten at to shame. I’m sitting here now, 250 miles away from the restaurant pondering how to make their nacho’s.
If you ever find yourself in Mayville, go there for the happy hour and the food and question how the heck they do what it is they are doing.

Something is always wrong with my order

The food was very good. You do not go away hungry. Food portion was big, you get a lot for what you pay which wasn’t too bad at all.

Fantastic food and the wait staff always takes excellent care of me In fact Im gonna go there for lunch.
