The Harbor is classic Waupaca Chain O Lakes, a must stop for any summer time tourist. But for those of us locals, we love Sunday fundays with live music on the water! The margarita flatbread, cheese curds, and oriental salad are among my favorites!

I’m so disappointed. I’m new to the area and came here because I was told it was the best and that I had to sit on the patio. My husband and I walked in and were ignored by 3 hostesses before they took our name. We sat at the bar for 30 min before we were seated(normal for Friday night at 7) and then they told us it would be another 10 min after they texted us that our table was ready(wtf?!) so then we sat down and two elderly men sat down with us and said«do you mind sharing a table!?». We are friendly enough that we allowed it but they didn’t wait the 40 min that we did, just helped themselves… is this how it works here? I ate fast and felt uncomfortable… then I went to the bathroom where I found toilet paper in all of the toilets of the empty stalls. I realize it’s a Friday night but it was the worst first impression ever!

Always good service, inside and outside! Great table service, where you don’t have to wait at the bar, their friendly staff will assist you when you are seated Food has been good so far every time I’ve eaten there, I had a dinner salad that was delicious yesterday, and the entertainment is always fun! Great live music every Sunday outside(weather permitting I’m sure) and what a gorgeous view! I love this bar! And, just for the younger crowd concerns-no, it’s never been an all young group of ppl,(at least on Sunday’s) but a pleasant variety of all ages! I think anyone would feel comfortable with their surroundings:)

«The Harbor» is a must stop if you are visiting the Waupaca area. Located right on Taylor Lake, the Harbor is home to the best sunset view on the entire Chain O Lakes. In addition to a great sunset, the Harbor offers music every Sunday afternoon performed on their floating stage. Docking is available for customers wishing to dine by boat. As for food, the harbor offers a wide variety of burgers, pizza, fish, and salads. The atmosphere and entertainment paired on the water dinning experience is like none other and a highly recommended favorite. Please note the Harbor is only open spring to fall and closed during the winter months.

First trip on Sunday of holiday weekend. Despite cloudy skies the place was buzzing and there was a large crowd enjoying the excellent band playing on a pontoon moored at the dock. Outside tables in high demand. Service was attentive and friendly. Steak sandwich reasonably priced and very tasty.

Great stop to park your boat and enjoy. Playground for the kids after dinner or while you wait for a table. Food was good and the cheese curds were awesome. A must stop if you are in the area or on the water. Pretty cool they serve you on your boat too. Awesome place to sit back, relax and enjoy the sunset.

Love this place. Total touristy trap but always a fun time. Oliver Burger is to die for. Service is a slow but it’s not a big deal. Very pricey!!! Last time we were there we had a table of 10. All drinking eating and even bought some of the merchandise. When I checked the bill I was shocked to see we were charged for pickles and charged $ 7.00 for chips and salsa and we were given $ 2.00 dollars worth. Don’t nickel and dime people that are spending hundreds of dollars at you establishment.

You can dock your boat and actually get your food served on it, so that’s convenient and the place has a nice view of the lake, but the food wasn’t good. The place was very crowded and I wouldn’t say this would be a family place. At the bar there are a lot of drunk loud people.

This place was total dog buns. We had to just hang out for a table and grab a dirty one as others left. No one ever came to clean it so we cleaned it ourselves. We ordered our drinks right away and then came pretty fast. But then it was forever before our order was taken. By then our drinks were empty and our waitress looked right at them and did not get us another round. Then our appetizers came about 40 minutes later. No drinks. Then about 25 minutes later our food came out. Being in Wisconsin, I thought the walleye would be good. Nope. It was frozen filets that were all identical with a heavy breading. Like giant fish sticks. The burger that came looked like a hockey puck. I guess they just cook the burgers for an hour and that is why it takes so long. In an area with so few places to eat, this one was the worst of our trip to the lake.

Good burgers — many different varieties available. Same with the fries — lots of options, and all are pretty solid. I don’t know much about the pizza, salads or other menu options though. It was packed around 7pm on a summer Saturday night(expected), but we were able to snag a table outside which was nice. Tables inside seem a little packed together. All in all, a pretty solid(not overly outstanding) dinner option. Watch out for the«professional drinker» and other such novelty tank top sporting types — they seemed to be all over the place here.

A great place to host events with their new Boathouse event space. My mom got married last summer on the big paddle wheel boat«The Chief.» Afterwards she had a catered dinner by the Clearwater Harbor Restaurant which was delicious and a great variety. The servers and bartenders were so friendly and helped create a fun atmosphere. Overall a perfect day and night mostly due to the managements flexibility and customer service. Definitely recommend hosting all kinds of events there: baby showers, rehearsal dinners, graduation parties, bachelor/ette parties, retirement and more.

Wonderful restaurant always good food good service. The outdoor deck seating has a great view of the lake. The only thing that I don’t like is that they aren’t open in the winter.

Come for the patio, live music and drinks. Food is glamorized bar food that is average at best and service can be spotty. Bands on weekends and Sunday afternoons make this a hot spot in the summer. Open from Late April to late September.

It was the end of the season as this restaurant closes during winter months and the place was just about out of everything on the menu. Burger I had was OK but I could have done better at home. Can’t believe they charge $ 2.69 for french fries, a bit much for what you get. Hamburger meat was dry and the 1⁄3 pounder but did not have much flavor and the serving was really basic. Doors were open with no screen doors and the place had lots of flies, which is disgusting to me. State of Wisconsin should check in on that issue. Gross.

Love this place! The reason it only got 4 and not 5 is that there is frequently a long wait for outdoors tables. And you have to wait like a vulture and snap up the tables as they become available. They have good food, decent prices, and awesome atmosphere. It’s nice for the kids to be able to go on the dock and feed the fish or go play on the playground while we wait for our food. Bonus – they have an ice cream shop on the side of the building! I will definitely be visiting again, and I definitely recommend it.

Sit outside on the deck if possible. It’s part of the experience! I think the Friday Fish Fry is the way to go at the Harbor Restaurant which is attached to the Clear Water Harbor — home of the Chief Waupaca. The food on nights other than Friday is just OK.

I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was very bland. I had to add salt just to give my sandwich some taste. The potato soup was okay, probably the best thing I ate there. My husband had the shrimp skewers with sweet potato fries and I didn’t like the seasoning they used for the shrimp, it tasted burned. I’d say the beers and drinks are the best thing there.

The Clear Water Harbor is a must if you are visiting the Waupaca area in the summer. Great food and very friendly service. They have a large selection that includes burgers, sandwiches and excellent salads. In addition to their food, their frozen drink menu is also pretty amazing. There is plenty of seating available between inside and the patio. If you happen to be out on the chain, boat over to Taylor Lake and park in their boat parking. They bring everything out to you to enjoy in the comfort of your own boat.

It really depends on what you are looking for… Me? I enjoy the live music that runs through the summer more so then the food. The place seems to be a well known hangout for waupaca’s seasonal residents and locals.
