Papa John’s Pizza

It was very cold out tonight (even though it is the warmest it has been for some days…) so I decided to order in tonight. I was trying to decide between Pizza Hut (I love their Pan Pizza) or Papa John’s (I love their breadsticks and garlic sauce). I was in the mood for garlic sauce, so I decided on Papa John’s. I have ordered online from them once before and had a pretty good experience. I will say that I think the estimates for delivery time on the email confirmation has been off both times, the first it was about 20 minutes and the second was about 15 minutes.
I ordered extra garlic sauce and cheese sauce. Anyway, over an hour later, I finally get a call that they are out front. I bring the pizza and breadsticks inside and open the box. I was so disappointed! I got the one complimentary garlic sauce and one pizza sauce. I didn’t get the other sauces I ordered. That was the whole point of ordering the breadsticks! I thought I would call the store to see if the delivery person was still somewhere in the neighborhood. The lady on the phone asked me if I wanted them to send someone out to deliver the sauces… seemed a bit much since it is snowing outside, although thinking about it now, I should have said yes. Before she put me hold, she said, «You will be compensated.» When she came back on the phone she said that if I wanted a refund I would have to talk to a manager or she could offer me a buy one, get one free offer for the next time I ordered. I assume that means pizza… in which case, that doesn’t really make sense because the amount of money I will have to spend to get something for free will be far more than the cost of the sauces, but whatever. I also don’t know when this offer expires or if I have to order pizza tomorrow night in order make good on their offer.
I’m not entirely sure where on Sunset they are located, but I am tempted to drive over tomorrow on my errands and see if I can just get the sauces because I’m not eating the breadsticks without some kind of sauce… talk about heartburn!
