Gallery 1

I’ve had several art pieces framed here and have always been pleased with their friendliness and workmanship, but this time they went above and beyond! My husband and I purchased two framed prints at Steinhafels which were clearly a pair but they were framed in a way that did not mesh. When we were starting to hang them in our living room our son mentioned that we had room for a third and went online to see what he could find from the print publishers. He did find a third print that was part of the series and we ordered it. So we now had three prints, one unframed and two that were out of sync. We took all three to Gallery 1 and Maria took charge. She was amazing! After studying the prints she suggested moving the unframed print to one of the existing frames and constructing a new frame for one of the others. Maria went through their inventory and couldn’t find anything she thought would work, so decided to check online with their suppliers. She still couldn’t find anything she wanted so she actually went to Menards, bought the wood, made the frame and painted it the color she wanted for the print. Gallery 1 did not charge us for moving the print to the existing frame, only for materials (matting, glass, wood) and labor. The prints are now hanging on our wall and look absolutely wonderful! Maria is so great at what she does, and the gallery in general is fantastic. I have also bought several gift items there, from notecards to purses to jewelry. Everything is high quality, including the employees!

I’ve had a couple of my own art pieces framed here (I’m the artist) and for my clients. Always a top notch framing job of the highest quality. Last time in I had them stretch canvas to a gallery wrapped size. Very nicely done at a reasonable price. Lots of frame samples in all price ranges. Staff is friendly and helpful. Lots of original art on the walls too. Easy access parking.
