Unfortunately this place is a little hidden. I was there on a Friday evening to support a friend’s band and it was pretty dead. The band themselves were amazing! But it never filled up enough. They don’t have food either — so I’m thinking that might be a reason why it stays pretty quiet. My friends and I entertained ourselves with darts while the band played. They also have giant jenga and a few TVs by the bar.

This is a very quiet and clean bar. You can always find a place to sit, they have games, pool, darts, and usually movies playing on the TVs over the bar. Good for a place to come relax with friends and have a conversation over drinks. The music here is great, lots of variety and not just«top 40» or a jukebox machine. They do trivia on Tuesdays which is really fun. The bartenders are very nice and friendly, they try to remember our names whenever we come back. Their craft beer is pretty good, but they don’t have a huge selection, just a few(2 – 3) on tap most times. They also have some good guest beers on tap too.

My friends and I go to trivia at Fixture every Tuesday night, and I’m starting to feel slightly attached to it. I think if the beer they brewed there was a little better, that would really seal the deal. Right now, I see it as a very laid back place to go play trivia and enjoy some $ 3 taps on Tuesdays. Trivia is great because the questions are challenging but doable. The host, Heather, is both endearing and funny. Overall, Fixture has a great atmosphere, complete with a pool table and dartboard. If you win anything at trivia, you’ll have to come back on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday to spend your prize which is only slightly inconvenient. It’s free booze, after all. As far as their home brews go, I’m pretty much in love with their porter. That’s the only beer I’ve tried here that really knocked my socks off. The belgium is enjoyable, the IPA is okay, and the apple ale is just plain weird. They don’t serve any food at all(not even pub mix!) but we’ve taken food in and nobody has blinked an eye, so I’d recommend that if you like to munch on something while drinking.

Great atmosphere and awesome beer. You got to check this place out, it will not disappoint. Always something new on tap, great music, live bands and a great dance floor. If you like nitro ipa stout, Apple pie shots, seasonal pumpkin ale and everything in between u gotta check out this hidden gem. It won’t be a secret for long.

Descriptive phrase: homey craft brew. Fixture Brewing Company is located right off the main drag in downtown Waukesha in an old brick building. Their sign is nearly impossible to see it’s so small, but be on the lookout. There’s plenty of free parking right around the side and back. Three of us came in one night after work to try out their local beer. That night they had 4 of their own brews on draught, of which I tried the Fox River Red and Black IPA. I found the Red to have too much bite(a bad thing), and the IPA was smoother and less-hoppy than I expected(a good thing). Reasonable prices. The space itself is larger than you’d expect, with bar seating, high-top tables, big bench-seating tables, a dance floor, and a few bar video games. In back there are windows open to the brewing space. The décor is nothing extraordinary, but it’s cozy enough for sitting down with a good beer and would lend itself well to a neighborhood party. The bartender this night was one of the owners, and seemed to be a genuinely nice guy. I hope they continue to do well, and I’ll be stopping by for a pint when I’m in town.
