As I was researching the best place to bowl for my birthday, I came across AMF’s «Sunday Funday» special on the website. It took me 3 days until I finally reached someone to ask questions(which should have been my first sign). I clarified that they did have the«Sunday Funday» special and the person confirmed that they did, but that it was $ 4 per person for shoes(making it $ 9 per person). I asked if I was able to use a $ 20 off coupon that I got for joining their«e-club» toward the shoes and he stated that as long as there were enough people in my party and my transaction was still over $ 20 I could use the coupon. When I arrived with my group, the bowling alley was practically empty. Maybe 3 lanes being used. I had 15 people in my group. The girl at the desk told me that I could not use my coupon. When I told her I’d confirmed the evening before that I could, she stated that«he doesn’t work on Sundays, so he doesn’t know». Again, the place was EMPTY and I had FIFTEEN people in my group. She was adamant that I couldn’t use my coupon but finally agreed to check with the manager. When she returned, she said that one person in my party could bowl for free(a $ 5 savings). Even when we started discussing in the group where else we could go for a better deal, no one seemed to care that a group of that size was getting ready to walk out the door. Thank god we did, we had a MUCH better time, with MUCH better prices, service and food at Fox Run Lanes. We won’t be back to AMF.

Planned a group outing here(10 people). Couldn’t get anyone to call me back after leaving messages for group reservations. Finally reserved a non-group rate, just to have the lanes. Fri night at 7PM I’d say there were 8 – 10 lanes being used — not the busiest. I was a little bummed that our computer screen kept going black, but even more bummed that our games cut off on the last person twice(we paid for two games, not for a timed amount). With all that said, the group had a blast and the place is well kept. We’d come back again, but probably try for the Monday night deal. Note the website prices are a little different than in person, as there are more options, but plan about $ 14 a person on peak times.

I can really only comment on Monday nights here, its the only day I go. But a decent way to spend a Monday night. Dollar games of bowling and dollar shoes at 9pm, and at 10pm theres karaōke in the bar. Its a fun crowd where everyone knows everyone {about 70% regulars} and are usually quite friendly. Great place to have 2 dollar pabsts and sing some karaōke. 2 pool tables upstairs and now they have 2 tables set up for beer pong! 2 dollar pabsts and beer pong = good night. Sign up to sing early as it fills up quick. The bartenders are attentive and personable, in fact you might even be able to catch one singing during the night. Exclusive productions, the company that presents karaōke, often has contests that include cool prizes and bar tabs and whatnot. Watch out at the end of the night though, the police station is down the block.
