I lived at Willow Wind from 1999 – 2001 in the 2620 building. It was decent enough, I just didn’t care for my neighbors at the time. I left because I wanted to buy a house for me and my daughter, which ended up being about 1 block away. Well I’m back! I have to stay in this area to keep my daughter in the Gurnee School District, and they had a two bedroom available at a decent building is the«condo» building and also houses the office, so it’s kept pretty clean for the most part. My apartment was leased through a real estate agency, who the owner pays to manage the place for him, so I don’t really deal with the apartment management here. I have had conversations with the manager and she seems to be nice enough. I have two gripes– people wh live here and the company they keep seem to think it’s ok to ride through the parking lot at all times of the night/early morning with their radios on full blast… the second is that you have to purchase a laundry card to use the washer/dryers and it cost $ 5. I guess I just feel like the card should be free when I sign my lease!!! So much for small favors! Not sure if I’ll be renewing my lease, just because I don’t like being on the third floor– it gets super hot up here and climbing three flights down and three flights up everyday kinda blows! Imagine what it’s like with tons of groceries…*sigh*
