Motel 6

I’ve stayed at many hotels of the same brand on other vacations, and generally they usually turn out to not be a pleasant experience. This was not the case with this location.
Walking through the door, I was pleasantly surprised from start to end. The staff was very helpful and cordial when we walked through the door late in the evening.
We were helped quickly and were off to the room. The hallways coming up to the room were very clean and well maintained. Inside, the room was spotless, cozy-​sized, and well furnished with a desk and extra seat, a mini fridge, microwave, and TV.
The only complaint I can possibly have is about the remote for the TV. The buttons would register more presses than were actually made, but we were able to get it to work after a few tries. Not a big deal at all.
I would definitely stay here again for future visits to the Chicago area and recommend it to others. It’s a ten minute car ride from the metra station that takes you into the city, well away from all the hassle and bustle of the hotels in the city centre.

HORRIBLE HOTEL… Prostitutes all over, drug dealers thru the hallway and parking lot, Pool was GREEN… Smoke alarm hanging from ceiling by bare wire. Light fixtures had no covers, exposing all light bulbs. Bath light face plate hanging off the wall, exposing bare wires. Hotel maids are rude. Loud, people running through the hotel at all hours of the night. You cannot sleep. Locks drilled out of the door. No security. Completely unsafe hotel. NEVER EVER STAY HERE.

What a great motel for the value. Rooms are very nice and clean. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. It’s located on the main drag in Waukegan and located near several places to eat and shop and is only about 10 minutes from Six Flags! They sell tickets for Six Flags at the front desk for $ 45.Lots of parking right near the building and very pet friendly.
There is a huge field next door for walking your dog. And they have an outdoor heated pool which is very nice.
Now the best part is the staff. The manager is very nice & friendly and Candace, who just started, is one of the nicest, sweetest, most beautiful people you will ever meet in your life!
I can’t say enough good about this place, next time I go to Six Flags I’ll be back!

Horrible!!! Incompetent stoner with gaged ears tried charging my card twice. Room looked like a crime scene. Parking lot had dumpster full of trash and carpet. Hoodlums casing my car on my way from my room and then the used condoms in the parking lot. I’d had enough and I hadn’t even unpacked the car yet. So I left and checked out only to find that I’d been charged for two nights already. I hadn’t even stayed 20 minutes let alone two nights. Long story short, SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY AND DON’T EVEN STOP AT THIS DUMP. I wish I could negative stars this place was that bad.

Ok, you get what u pay for, 430am they had to fix shower, bathroom door about to fall off, cold hallway. staff friendly
