This review is specifically for Gurnee location. I have been to several Midas in the area– and by far, this is one of the best ones.
Brought my car in for an oil change and inspection. As I had suspected, I needed brake work. They gave me a very reasonable quote and went to work on it right away. It was recommended that I get it fixed and Rene explained very clearly the procedure.
If you own a vehicle, then you’re going to need a mechanic and a good one at that.

Did you know a bad wheel bearing can be so loud that people think you need a new transmission? Tom, a mechanic at Midas in Waukegan, did! Though numerous mechanics had told me I needed a new transmission, Tom took care of the problem by replacing my wheel bearings and a new control arm.
The service was amazing! They took me step by step through the problem, and patiently explained what was wrong with the car. He even showed me the pieces after taking them out of my car to show me wear on the pieces. Completely professional and very polite!
(Also, the lobby has free wifi, so bring your laptop!
