The Formal Garden is a great place for a wedding ceremony. I had the pleasure of officiating a service in the gazebo this summer. The grounds are well taken of and are perfect for really nice wedding pictures. Bowen Park Formal Garden is a true hidden gem.

beautiful historic wooded park… this place has been here for a very long time, and has gone through some wonderful transformations throughout the years… very well kept and maintained… i remember spending a lot of time at this park when I was a child growing up in this town (grade school through high school)…great place to just walk around and explore nature at its finest, listening to the wind, watching butterflies in slow motion flights, while the warmth of the afternoon sun hits your bare skin… except when all the mosquitoes are on a mission hunting for blood…

Fun place to take the kids for an active afternoon. Lots of great, unique equipment. It’s all very clean and in good condition.
In the summer, there can be a lot of mosquitoes, so wear repellent.
We spend hours there whenever we go.

Hours of fun for the whole family — giant park where you can slide, climb, chase and go on numerous hiking paths. There are several picnic areas, as well, and the big hills make it a wonderful sledding area in the winter.
