I broke down 1 mile from this business and decided to take my pickup truck there since they were so close. Big Mistake. first of all let me start out by saying they charged me $ 100 for a 1 mile tow and that is just the beginning. They called me and informed me they think it is my fuel pump. Charged $ 100 for the diagnostics. I called three auto supply stores and they informed me that the price for the part is between $ 100 and $ 150 tops. they charged me $ 300 double the amount for that part .then they called me and told me I needed a new battery and it would be $ 250.Well that’s impossible I just installed a brand-​new commercial grade battery 2 months ago. I told them not to change it that there is nothing wrong with the battery in there. When they realized they were not dealing with someone stupid they said maybe they’re battery charger was broken. Yeah right! well after they charged me $ 900 to pick up my truck I was quite taken back by this and called a couple other shops and they informed me this job should have not been no more than $ 400 or less. when I picked up my vehicle I asked Mechanic to see the part they replaced and he began to make many excuses not to show it to me and did not. I’m beginning to wonder if they even replaced it. Hard to tell because it’s inside the gas
best advice is to stay far away from this repair shop they will take you to the cleaners. if you know a honest mechanic stick with them they hard to find.

Car broke down 8am =(called towing about 8:10am and tow truck arrived at 9am. Was 14 mile tow from Island Lake to Libertyville. Price even $ 130. Tow truck driver was super friendly and polite. Told him I was living in area for over year and gave tons of ideas of place to check out. Great small talk. Definitely would call again if ever need. Also from a gals point of view: truck was clean inside!

Wade and Mike Johnson, and the folks at Mike’s Towing, are great guys and are very knowledgeable in their craft. They have helped my family and I out of more than a few tight spots over the years, and we are forever grateful.
Also, for all you gear heads out there, these guys are a great resource if you want to go fast in either your car, truck, or on your motorcycle. Don’t believe me… see Wade’s wife for a drag in her beat up old Firebird, ;)

What a bunch of unfriendly a-​holes. Each and every employee has more attitude than the next. Definitely no display of appreciation for you business. And all I went in for was a truck safety inspection.
I guess they’re technically competent, and the truck passed, but they treated me like an idiot. I don’t normally drive a truck, I was just taking someone else’s truck in as a favor.
Life is way too short for attitude. Does it really take that much extra effort to be nice to someone?

Terrible policies and rude employees… you can’t even help a woman with a flat tire? Shame on all of you! Social networking is wonderful — we can read our friends posts and word gets around about good business and «bad» business…
