I use this company and at first had a few issues I wasn’t quite confident in how they would stand behind their work but I must say they’ve been 100% upfront and they’ve been very professional in handling of all my issue that I’ve occurred I would recommend them highly

Take This As A Warning Most people don’t service their HVAC systems until it breaks down. — It’s the middle of winter and there’s a freaken POLARVORTEX outside when your furnace breaks down. — Who do you call? Gleason & Elfering. — It’s the middle of a hot summer drought and the average temperature is 98 degrees and your AC unit stops cooling the house. — Who do you call? Gleason & Elfering. I recently contacted Gleason to come out and perform a routine preventive maintenance and cleaning of my furnace and humidifier systems. I had been performing the simple stuff like changing my filters and cleaning the inside of the furnace. I needed these guys to make sure that the system was running efficiently and the way it was designed to run. The service tech arrived at the time that they said he would be here. He even came with his own shoe covers and didn’t wait for me to tell him to take his shoes off or does he have shoe covers. I showed him the system and he was off and running. After about 45 minutes the system was running back to it’s peak performance. The price was worth the service that was performed and the tech was very good. Take it from me since I’m in the business of the maintenance of critical equipment. Maintain your stuff before it breaks down or you’ll be scrambling and inconvenienced.

I think they’re crooks. Had them over about 10 years ago for routine furnace tuneup. Said I needed a new furnace. Wrong. They keep calling several times a year and I tell the ‘STOPCALLING I think you’re a bunch of crooks.’ But they continue to call. I work with a furnace place I trust and call them. Obviously any one who has dealt with the once does not call the back. STAYAWAY

This business is downright dishonest, and my next step is to contact the Better Business Bureau. A few years ago I got tired of how noisy my HVAC unit was, so I phoned the company that had installed it. The salesman said that the developer had installed units that were too big, because he got them on a closeout. So I had my big unit replaced with a smaller one. Guess what? It was just as noisy if not noisier! I phoned the owner, who came out and said there was no way I could prove it since no decibel level was taken. I was stuck, to the tune of $ 4,000. Then earlier this year I discovered the A/C wasn’t working. Again I phoned(should have known better) and a tech came out, spent about 30 minutes poking around and said it was fine. He said the cost was $ 330, so I wrote him a check. I later found out that our building just turned on the A/C before he came in. I didn’t know that the building has to enable the A/C, but the tech must have known that since this is their business! So should the person who took my call! OK, I was stupid, but they sure took advantage of my stupidity! Now yet another insult: my HVAC stopped sorking during the very cold spell in early December, 2010. I phoned another heating company to repair it; they came out and said that they would be spending the better part of the day with two men and that it would cost upwards of $ 1,000 to repair. They couldn’t come for three days. That made me very unhappy. Since Gleason-Elfering had installed this only 4 years ago, I called them. Naturally it was past the warranty, but The guy, the owner, was very understanding and nice and said he’d have someone come out the next day. He’d tell the guy just what wa going on and he’d fix it for much less. Well, guess what. They guy didn’t come until late in the day, had no idea what was going on, and was unable to do a thing. I would avoid this firm at all costs.
