Main Street Grille

The name belies what’s inside. When you look at it you would think American cuisine but it is mainly Mexican. The waiter a t train (according to the receipt) was sweet and kind but not overly attentive. The food was ok although I received a cold chicken wing and the wings were not a real high light with the mediums watery and with no kick and what tasted like store bought bbq sauce on the others. The quesadilla was good but it was obvious that the steak was pre-​cooked as it was tough and over cooked. The flan was the best part of the whole meal. The after dinner mint was gross. Skip it totally unless you like the taste of cough syrup all in all I wished I had crossed the street and tried the Italian place instead.

We arrived a little early for lunch but were warmly welcomed. Chips and salsa and beer kept us busy until our Huevous Rancheres arrived. We were hoping for a little spice and ordered the green chili which should have been hotter –but not so hot for our tastes a little too much lemon. We are from the west so more accustomed to a hotter spicier Mexican cuisine. The restaurant itself is clean and the staff is friendly we would stop here again, but hope they find some jalapeños !

If you like Pink Floyd … You need to be here… Next show will be June 19… Once a month on Saturday’s. The place has a positive energy. The owner’s a lovely couple… I fully recommend to take this journey to this enchanted place… Once you r here, I’ll bet you will have a great comment and a wonderful night.

The restaurant was clean and the service ok. Our burgers were a little past well done. We might go there again and try Mexican if in the mood.

We arrived at 11AM on a Tuesday, ordered a Patty Melt and a Harvest Salad – although we were the only customers, it took a full 30 minutes to be served. Food was OK but nothing special, very slow service, modest prices and generous servings. Large dining room with booths and tables, a separate meeting room on one side, a separate but connected pub and pool table on the other. We don’t plan to return.

We were here from out of town and chose this from reviews. We weren’t very hungry so we shared a burger. It was fairly decent but the sweet potato fries were barely lukewarm. The staff was very nice. It was in line with what I expected.

I had lunch there yesterday… absolutely the BEST burger I have ever had. I believe it was called the farmhouse burger. Hamburger topped with an egg and bacon. AMAZING. The burger by itself was fresh and perfectly seasoned.

Are you kidding me this was awesome! Steaks was awesome!

Good food, ample portions, modest prices. Good service and an old fashioned ambiance in a small town. We have eaten here twice and will make the drive to Wauchula to eat here again.
