A VERYMESSY course! We get there and they do not turn off the sprinklers on the greens so every green is SOAKINGWET! Duh?! I would think with the first players they would shut off the sprinklers! Every green was like a water hazard! The course use to be worth $ 8 but they started to raise the fees and now they charge $ 13! That adds up if you play 2x a week. There are also little black flys that swarm and bite the heck out of you and leave you with a ragging itch! Worse than mosquitos!

Very good beginner golf course. Open hilly field with good views. Grass was burnt but place was affordable

As everyone knows I am addicted to the the noble game of golf so when Groupon had an extremely good deal on this 9 hole course I jumped on it. We had such a great time at Casserly! It seemed as if my golf buddy and I had the entire course to ourselves. It is not as easy as it looks which makes it challenging and fun at the same time! Watch out for holes 8&9 — those last two holes will make you scratch your head and say«WTH» :-) I want to come back before the rainy season begins! Friendly service too!

Just picked up the game again after a 20 year break. I’ve have numerous injuries which sidelined me. It was nice to be out on a course again. Very nice layout, 9 holes is about my speed now. Several twosomes & a foursome were out on the course, no one had their pants on fire to blaze thru the course. Suited me fine since I might need a few more strokes than par to get ‘er done. Grounds well-maintained & happy dogs greeted all players.

This is such a sweet course for beginners! I have gone here for quite some years now and every time I have had a great time. The course is a 9 Hole golf course which I like because I can come here and play a quick game during the middle of my day and not have to play for hours on end. It is a very reasonable price which makes it even better. Only thing to make sure of is that you follow the rules and everything will be fine.

I have not played here in a number of years, but my experience was horrific. I took my son to teach him the game and when he whiffed a ball on the eighth hole, I told him to take another shot. Within seconds someone from the clubhouse came roaring out on an ATV and proceeded to berate us for taking a second shot! It upset my son so much that he refused to go golfing with me after that. I believe this type of behavior is totally unacceptable and I will NEVER go back as long as they have the same owner.

Are you a master golfer? I’m not. I recently started learning how to golf. I’ve been going to the driving range lately and I’ve been practicing my putting, but I’d yet to get out on the course. I usually go driving at courses that would be way too long and difficult for me to try as a first course. I want to ease into this hobby and not feel frustrated and in over my head. I’ve asked my golf-playing pals for some advice and trusted sources suggested Casserly because it’s only 9 holes, all holes are par 3 and all pretty short, it’s a nice wide open space, there aren’t too many tricky obstacles, it’s super cheap(we’re talking $ 8 and only $ 5 for a 2nd round super cheap), and the views are killer. I experienced all of this plus excellent weather and a really friendly staff. My goals for my first time weren’t very lofty– I didn’t expect to be anywhere near par– but I did not want to land in water, veer completely off course, land in a sand trap, or get leapfrogged by a bunch of people growing impatient with my snail’s pace. Guess what? Newbie-friendly Casserly helped me reach all of my goals today so I was having fun instead of feeling intimidated. I found myself really wishing I had the time to play a second round. My plan is to come here several more times before I go elsewhere. I know there are«nicer» courses in the area, but they charge hefty admission prices to keep up with that maintenance. The only other course that’s at the same level as Casserly and might be ever so slightly nicer/harder is Valley Gardens in Scotts Valley and that one is $ 10 more a round. If there’s a better value for your dollar in the area, I certainly haven’t heard about it.

I wished I lived closer to this golf course! I am always a supporter of local family run places. When I visit my friends in Watsonville, we always take the time to go here, even on an overcast day… the view is just so beautiful! The doggies there are so cute too! They’ve got a ton of cold drinks, snacks, and golf clubs for rent so you don’t have to drag yours over the hill every time you come. For an inexpensive place to practice your swing and hang out with friends, this is the perfect course. Has same amenities as many other 9 hole courses in my area, but better view, great people, and fantastic price. There was a special to play one round was $ 8 and second round was $ 5…I think this is still the case? THANKYOU!

Prior(lengthy) review is still accurate, but this reflects latest conditions. We played there for the first time in 2011 this weekend. I can tolerate(even expect) a few rough spots tee-to-green, but they’ve let the greens deteriorate since last year. Slow, bumpy, bare-spotted and damn near unputtable. It’s not just the 4 – 5 ballmarks I was fixing on every green; most greens had dozens of brown splotches. What happened? I wish them well, but jeez, I can walk Pajaro for not much more, and that’s real golf with beautiful greens.
