Very rich, unusual and vibrant flavours, unlike what you’d fine in a typical ice cream shop. Loved it!

I am an ice cream snob and if I could, I would eat this ice cream every day. They were out of waffle cones when I went after a hike at Watkins Glen but they totally made up for it with creamy and delicious ice cream. My boyfriend had a root beer float with honey vanilla ice cream(which honestly I was pissed about because I hate root beer and I wanted to try the ice cream) but even after being in the root beer, I still LOVED the honey vanilla flavor. I had a sugar cone with mocha chip and this peanut butter chocolate flavor that had peanut butter cups and brownie pieces in it which I wasn’t expecting and then obviously was happily surprised about. After a nice hike at Watkins Glen, this is the place to go. Forget Ben and Jerry’s and go with this homemade stuff right near the park’s main entrance.

The ice cream was phenomenal. Best I’ve had in a while… maybe even ever? I tried the Bourbon Butterscotch and my boyfriend had the Butterfinger ice cream. Some original, some fun flavors. Usually Butterfinger ice cream just has the bits in it but his ice cream actually tastes like the candy as well. Rare! Fun little place. Highly recommend. Also has pottery, homemade honey, pestos, etc inside. Cute little place!

If I could copy and transport this little ice cream parlor(plus) to our hometown, I would. After hiking through the park it was the perfect treat to cap a wonderful day. Home made, hand dipped ice cream that was divine. Generous portions with the chance to try homemade waffle cones. Rich and creamy but not overwhelmingly so. The vegan ice creams are terrific if you’re not opposed to coconut milk and almond milk as the base. Check out the beehive and see if you can spot the queen bee. That sighting will get you a free cone. Definitely stop by. Then stop again. And again. It’s that good.

I could have been happy with doing an ice cream tasting all day instead of a wine tasting! This place is so cozy and cute with the pottery room and ice cream deliciousness. We toured the pottery room, in hopes of buying something but decided otherwise. The pottery is beautiful and so much to choose from, but nothing caught my eye as the«I need to have.» The ice cream is homemade, who doesn’t love that? Plus, VEGAN ice cream! So so happy about that because I used to be vegan and know the struggles of wanting ice cream out and about. The staff is friendly, some a bit more shy then others but all very helpful. I loved the mint chocolate chip, it’s one of my favorite ice creams of all time but I decided to change it up a bit. The Honey Vanilla is divine. It’s vanilla with a hint of honey and it is perfect for some sweetness but not too heavy. I ordered the waffle sprinkled cone, because why not? A single scoop for me is just too much ice cream, I would probably shoot for a kiddie sized one because it’s a lot of ice cream. Lots of seating and good ice cream. Definitely a place to stop on the way home from the wineries!

I have to agree with the other review that this ice cream shop wasn’t all that special. We came a month ago when it was just starting to warm up, so maybe it wasn’t tgeir peak stuff. There weren’t that many flavors, and it ended up tasting kind of average. I love ice cream no matter what, and I mean this was decent, but definitely not worth a raving review. Was a cute shop with a fun bear decoration outside, but kind of average overall.

Maybe they had an off day, or an off batch, but based on my one visit this place is nothing to write home about. I paid 50 cents extra for a «premium» flavor — bourbon butterscotch. If you’re going to charge me extra for«premium,» damnit, I want to taste my money’s worth. Or at least taste SOMETHING. The problem is that it tasted neither of bourbon OR of butterscotch. It tasted weirdly neutral, like a souped-up vanilla. My husband’s salted caramel ice cream tasted much more like butterscotch.

If you’ve been good, this is where you go when you die. St. Peter hands you a little plastic spoon at the gate, and directs you here to the counter. Eggnog with chocolate chip, chocolate coconut, and all manner of nasty frozen concoctions You can get Ben and Jerry’s in your hometown freezer compartment, but when you’re in Watkins Glen, this place is the bomb. Wherever you’re eating in town, leave room for dessert and run to Colonial. Diet starts tomorrow, kids… today let’s have some fun.

Absolutely the best ice cream I’ve had. I don’t say this lightly– I am a bit of a ice cream snob and prefer to make my own. The owner develops unique and very tasty flavours, and it’s clear he takes great pride in what he does. My personal favourite was the chocolate chai with almonds. We were touring the Finger Lakes area, and actually routed our driving to stop by this place an extra time. Definitely stop by!!!

Came here after leaving Wildflower Café still hungry(I know, real healthy, right?). We briefly thought about going to Ben n Jerry’s, even walked into their store, but then thought better of it and went to the place with the homemade ice cream! We were greeted by a nice young girl behind the counter. There were so many unique flavors up on the board, that it was difficult to decide. Thankfully, she let us sample some of the flavors before fully committing. I ended up getting a waffle cone, double sized, of pumpkin pie ice cream. I’m not really a fan of ice cream, but that was amazing. It totally tasted like pumpkin pie and it was creamy and did not melt easily. That last quality was important, because the double is HUGE. You don’t want that thing melting and dripping down your hand. The double is only 75 cents more than the single, but I would say stick with the single! The girl behind the counter definitely hooks it up and gives you your money’s worth! There’s this self-playing piano in the next room with tables. It’s kind of strange but I guess it goes with the 20’s ice cream parlor kind of theme. In another room, they are selling home made pottery and local grape seed oil(which is cheaper here than at the Glen Watkins State Park gift shop). I’ve had homemade ice cream at some restaurants in the past, but this has to be among the best. Highly recommended.

Stopped here after visit to park with 4 adults and 4 children. Everyone ordered a different flavor. Everyone said it was the best or nearly the best ice cream they ever had. I had a pistachio milk shake. Thick, creamy, flavor distilled essence of pistachio with a pile of whole nuts at the bottom. Fantastic.

Vegan ice cream in Watkins glen was a nice surprise. Flavors were raspberry, wild berry, mint chocolate chip, and piña colada. They also had vegan chocolate sauce. Price was fair.

Do not miss this ice cream place! It’s interesting as it is listed as a Pottery and Creamery place but the ice cream is the best in town! They had at least a dozen homemade flavors with great chunky add-ons. I got a single of chocolate coconut in a waffle cone. Tons of real flaked coconut and the waffle cone was so good I am pretty sure that was homemade too. Good price for quantity — the single had 4 scoops! Bottom line — don’t go to Ben n Jerry’s, come here and support a local business. You won’t be disappointed!

This is probably the best homemade ice cream i have ever had. I’m still thinking about the banana chocolate chip and want to go back for more.
