My husband & I had to stay here as a last resort while visiting from Philly. The conditions were filthy and unsafe. The bed sheets were covered in stains, some of which were blood. We counted at least 6 millipedes. We immediately asked for a refund– the owner yelled and said we were imagining things as he flicked the bugs off the wall– in his boxers nonetheless! It was the most terrifying experience of our lives. Needless to say we will never return, and have filed a complaint with the BBB & Dept. of Health.

After learning about the exorbitant lodging rates in Ithaca we decided to spend the night in Watkins Glen. After calling around to a few B&B’s we decided to go the cheaper route with Budget Inn. My wife is very picky about cleanliness and she was very pleased. The staff is friendly as well. The free wifi, while slightly slow, got the job done. The continental breakfast was a little weak (no dairy or protein of any kind). Finally, the price was reasonable though still a little high compared to most low-​budget motels. Overall, I can say we would gladly stay here again.

We stayed for one night while in town for a friend’s band, and we were very happy with the place. The woman who owns the place with her husband was very nice at check in, and the rooms were clean and in very nice shape. Price couldn’t be beat either.
