Stopped in for some drinks and a small bite to eat. It’s a pretty typical bar, but it’s clean and you get good and efficient bar service. Reasonable prices for food and drinks. The best part is it’s a Buffalo bar because the owner went to school up there and there’s a ton of Bills and Sabres memorabilia on the walls.

Run of the mill sports bar with nothing that stands out, the wings were very good but the bartender was miserable and the bathrooms were disgusting. Could do in a pinch, but better options got to be out there.

Stopped in for wings while in town. Had them mix buffalo hot and sweet and sour together and cook the wings well done. They were great! Just what I was looking for. Service was good. The bar is basically what you would expect for the area.

By far, the worst bar in Watkins Glen. Went there about three times; once, with twenty friends to watch the NFL draft. Place was empty other than one couple. We asked if they could turn the volume up so we could hear. They said no, because it would ruin the experience of the other diners. Second, during Halloween: it wasn’t closing time (or anywhere near it), and I put part of my costume on the bar while I went to the bathroom. I came back and the bartender, who had been serving me drinks all night, threw it in the trash while I was in the bathroom! Last but not least, they chased my black friend down and carded her; she was the only one of us that they ID’ed.
The staff are rude and act like they couldn’t are less about you. The place just has bad vibes. Stay away!

Quality sports bar with great bar food.

Bleachers is a staple on my visiting rounds when in the area. They do bar food well, and their buffalo chicken sandwich is one of my favorites anywhere. The beer list is solid, and quality mixed drinks are cheap. The servers/bartenders are hard-working yet personable, and the atmosphere works well for post-work drinks, weekend game-watches, or late-night shenanigans (especially during the holidays).
Bleachers knows what it is, and doesn’t try to be anything it’s not. They have well-priced drinks, solid food, a good sports atmosphere, and great service. Not much else to improve on as hometown bars go.

Fried Food Heaven. I am in Watkins Glen twice a year and I always eat at least one meal at Bleachers. Tons of TVs with sports on, well priced drinks and excellent bar food. I would venture to say the best Buffalo Wings in Watkins Glen.
Also a great place to grab a drink during the vintage weekend festivities.
