Recently visited Arclight. Drinks and service were good, but we won’t be going back. We were there on a weekend night. Walked in and sat at the bar. Bartender took our order right away. After a couple minutes, we kept wondering what that awful smell was. Started looking around and thought we were in a vape lounge. I couldn’t believe the number of people smoking vapes. Even the bartender. Someone came in and set right next to us and was blowing vape smoke all over us. We couldn’t stand the smell and couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

My main reason for wanting to check out this brewery was because of their logo. They have a great logo that stood out from other breweries at beer festivals, so I always made it a mental note to drive out to check them out sometime. I drove the hour to Arclight in hopes of an awesome time and I was not disappointed. The brewery is basically in the middle of no where, but a great small town feel. The arrangement inside is like that of cafeteria seating but with upscale wood construction. There are high tops for smaller parties to enjoy their beer, but unfortunately no food is served here. The tap list when I was there was a decent amount with a full range of different styles. My friend and I ordered a flight. Be careful the flight pours are 4oz, so when you order two size beers it can end up being quite a bit of alcohol before your drive back home. I wan’t disappointed in any of the beers I tasted. I am not much of a hoppy beer drinker but always willing to try them. They seemed to be great for what they were, just not my style. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions you may have. There is some great outdoor seating inside and out to please the masses. Oh and they definitely get bonus points for the bathroom signs displaying the gender shaped like male and female stormtroopers. They definitely have their own unique personality which always makes my heart extra happy.

I’m giving this place 5 stars for what it is(a brewery where you can hang out, drink their top quality brew and eat whatever you want to bring in), and not for what it isn’t(a restaurant). Spacious layout indoors, and two well-fenced outdoor areas made it a great place for kids to roam while the parents chatted over good tunes and good brews. Owner works the bar, and the rest of the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Diverse house brews running from sours, through lagers to ales and porters, all really nicely brewed. Check it out if you’re in the area or passing through.(Tip: if you want to stop off for lunch or dinner while passing through, grab some great grub from the Mexican grocery down the street).

Great beer and terrific hangout. I had the pleasure of hanging out at Arclight on a recent sunny Saturday afternoon. First off, Arclight’s beer selection is large, eclectic and very tasty — they know their craft well. My favorites were the ESB and IPA although the shandy was pretty good on a hot summer day. The Brewery’s tasting room is large with plenty of space both inside and out. The staff is friendly and the BYOF policy is an added bonus. Arclight is very close to South Haven and is a must stop for a pint and a growler to go on your next visit to Michigan.

Craft beer here. Visited with friends recently. Beer was great and the facility in a former auto dealership was very industrial cool inside. Excellent selection of craft beers and root beer and other choices for the non beer drinkers. Outside beer garden which is very nice with bocce ball and a gas campfire. No food here but you can bring your own or order from nearby restaurants. Snacks available.

I love the setup of the brewery and the beer garden. I was very underwhelmed with their beers. But I get that they are new and still trying to establish themselves. No food here, but you can bring in your own from other places. If I’m in town again I’d try it out.

Good beer, a lot of choices on the beer list. Wish they had food though. Great atmosphere with two outdoor seating areas. One area even had two bocce ball pits. For a small town brewery this place has a lot going for them!

Cool place! Apparently, if you’re a brewery in Michigan, you can ONLY serve your own beer… Well Arclight has plenty of delicious beer to choose from! Simple, warehouse type atmosphere, concrete floors and countertops make for a cool vibe… Board games to play while you enjoy your beer, or you can check out the hops garden and the Bocce ball court located out back on the nicely hardscaped patio… Not much to offer as far as food goes, but I saw people bring their own food in – didn’t ask but maybe that’s a thing they do? Oddly enough, kids are welcome in the bar type environment, as Arclight actually makes their own sodas as well as beer, which was cool! Anyway, definitely left with 3 growers full of craft brew and enjoying one as I type… Will be back for sure!

5 stars for the beer and 2 stars for the service. It seems like a good spot for locals because they got all the attention. Every time I needed a drink I had to flag down a bartender, despite the fact I was sitting at an empty bar with an empty glass. I’ll definitely go back because the beer quality and price were awesome. It’s also BYOF and the Mexican restaurant down the street is damn good!

Who goes to a brewery if they don’t like beer? My family. My wife and I get the Chery Lemon Shanty(Tastes incredible and we hate beer), and the kids get the pop that Arclight makes. I can’t recommend this place enough.

We discovered Arclight a few weeks ago and have already been back since our initial visit. On our first visit, we ordered a flight to sample a variety of beers. My husband loves a good porter and was skeptical of the snickerdoodle — don’t pass it up, it’s a must try! The snickerdoodle flavor definitely comes through and is actually well balanced with the porter. Another favorite was the Cherry Wit — you know it’s good if my husband is drinking a pink beer! Our second trip was for the Opus Kriek we saw posted on Facebook — the American sour with cherries was worth the drive! I can honestly say it’s one of the best sours I’ve had with a great balance of tart cherry flavor. Arclight does serve food, but has some snacks available(chips, nuts, chocolates). They do partner with area food trucks and both time we visited, the Baja Gringo Taco truck was there serving up some tasty tacos. Great patio for outdoor seating with a spacious interior with bar seating and large shareable picnic tables. There isn’t much in Watervleit, but this place is worth the drive!

We visited them a few months ago when the weather was warm and they had their large garage door rolled up so that the outside was the inside… Pretty cool. The place is an old car dealership just at the north end of town and is pretty large to fill with things to make it look like a pub. The actual brewing area is pretty classy but the common area was a little drab. The beer is not bad but needs some honing to appeal to the folks visiting. The kids beverages are homemade as well and not badly prices if you stop in with them. They have an outside seating area that appeals to me if I’m trying to unwind a bit but there isn’t any food to speak of so don’t come hungry. I think with some more time under their belt they will be successful in Watervliet.

Great new brewery in a place without one, so they should have the territory to themselves. I tried everything they had on tap and thought all were good and some really excellent. They make a range a range of brews, though most are in the IPA family. The stout was the outlier in terms of type and was great. The Arclight Ale was light and delicious. Really friendly bar staff.

We were driving through blueberry country, not expecting to find this hip, modern craft brewery in the small downtown of Watervliet. Their beers are creative and delicious. Our group made our own tasting flight by ordering half pours of all of the beers on tap and sharing. Perhaps they could offer individual tasting flights in the future. They don’t serve food(beyond bar nuts and cupcakes) but they do have menus on hand for ordering in food from the local restaurants. The interior design of the place is modern, thoughtful, and well executed. I would recommend checking this place out!

Today they get 4 out if 5 stars. Beer is great love the atmosphere. Now if they added a kitchen and great bbq and they could make a fortune. Once they do that I’ll re doing my review. Local bluegill sandwiches, fresh lake perch sandwiches. I see great potential in this place.

Good beer selection, attentive service. They do not serve food so they allow delivery or you can bring your own in. Orange shandy is pretty Delish;)
