Victoria’s Chocolate Cafe and Bakery

Great little spot to feed your sweet tooth. Not many people know this is here, as it used to be called Whitleys. It was under bad ownership for a couple months after the original owners of Whitleys left– but I assure you the new Victorias café is a clean, friendly, sophisticated and comfortable environment for catching up with a friend or just taking a moment to relax with their yummy chocolates. Javier, the owner, is a great guy who is trying to reestablish this place as a known chocolate shop!
Out of all the chocolates he sells, (lake Champlain, cocopotamous), I definitely think his homemade chocolates are the best. My favorite definitely being the peanut butter pretzel bombs!!! So yummy. The gelato he gets is made in new haven, so he is keeping things local which is a plus.

Awesome gelato, Chocolates even better. Only store in CT –at the moment– to carry Cocopotamus chocolate. They care about storing and featuring local ingredients (Cocopotamus aside). All fantastic things that make me feel better about supporting this local business.
What blows my mind is why this didn’t pop up on Unilocal when we were looking for coffee spots here. Likely, they have the best cafes and lattes in this area!
Owners are down-​to-​earth friendly and honest, hardworking people. Environment and décor inside is comfy and fun. Great for kids, sophisticated teenagers, and adults alike. Victoria’s runs events, open mics, as well as birthday parties for kids who want the best chocolate in the area.
