OK, wow where do I start. I checked in for one night at the Super 8 Watertown location as I needed a good nights sleep for a long plane trip back home the next day. I opted for a juccuzzi room as I have back problems. The room was right at $ 100 a night which I thought was rather pricey for the area but paid it anyway. The room had somewhat of a musty smell upon entering. After awaking from a nap I tried to use the jacuzzi and realized that the pop up drain was completely broken and nonfunctional, in other words you could not drain the water. It was later in the evening by this time so I decided to deal with it in the morning. Later in the evening I got up to use the bathroom and the toilet would not flush. I lifted the lid off to see if I could see the problem, the problem was quite evident, it was broken also and pieces were laying on the bottom of the inside of the toilet. I had to literally reach my hand inside the toilet water to be able to flush the toilet. At this point I was becoming extremely agitated that I paid $ 100 for the room, and started to realize that the toilet was never cleaned, or there would have been cleaning solution still in the bowl, as you could not flush the toilet, or at least if it was cleaned it would definitely have been noticed when trying to flush, the same for the jacuzzi, I am sure that was not cleaned either or that problem would have also been immediately apparent. I told the manager about it the next day and was offered 10% of my bill, really? that doesn’t even cover the taxes. How ridiculous and inappropriate can you be. Ruined the last evening of my vacation and would never stay here again.

Stayed last Thursday night before a dog show nearby. The room was 3 stars. The woman working the desk was rude~ we know other guests and they thought so also. I’ve traveled the country with dogs for 40+ years and this was the first place/person to ever say that if we left our dogs in the car even with the windows all the way down, the hatch of the station wagon wide open and used shade screens, if the police come by we will get a animal cruelty ticket. Really? We figure that was just a threat implying she would call the police on us~it was 75 °F with some clouds and a great breeze! She just wanted 10 $/dog for our 3 dogs which are African Basenji’s that were no where near panting or being hot. Oh! the pet walking area had an overflowing trash can of feces waste in bags, I forgot to snap a photo of it. Pet Friendly my rectum!

This is your basic, roadside Super 8 Motel. There’s nothing fancy here, nothing out of the ordinary. The beds were rock hard, the pillows were paper thin. We were there for three nights and I may have slept a total of six hours over those three nights. Our electronic door lock failed so many times it became frustrating. The«free breakfast» is your typical motel breakfast. Cereal, waffles, toast and some juices. As a gluten-free eater, you’re completely out of luck. There’s a crappy Perkins across the highway where you can get an expensive, but horrible meal(see my Unilocal!review). This Super 8 deserves one star, but gets two because the staff is super friendly and goes out of their way to make the best of your experience.
