What a great place. The selection and variety is amazing for such a small type of market with endless variety. Fresh food and such great service. I am a fan of their baked items, so good.

Best baklava I’ve had anywhere in the United States. I make my family take me to Watertown for 3 – 4 lbs to bring home every time I’m in the metro area(1 lb for me, 2 – 3 for my coworkers). It’s SOSOFT. I’ve also never had anything less than«wow, this is amazing» from their cold-dishes deli counter. Like, «Woah — this is great tabbouli» or «Woah — this is great hummus» or «Woah — I don’t even understand what this concoction is, but it’s to-die-for.» I wish I could eat more from their store every time I come to town, but alas I have only one stomach and one day, usually!

As a Lebanese in Boston, I have to trek out to Watertown to get some staples. Visited Sevan Bakery today and really liked it. Great selection of olives, cheese, labne, bread, etc — all the staples. Also enjoyed the fresh baked goods — spinach pies, baklava, etc. Minus one star because the $ 5 jar of pickles I got was open when I got home :(

This store is AWESOME. I feel like a child in a candy store when I come here. Unfortunate this place closes on Sundays so I come here on Saturdays. Only street parking is available so make sure to have one or two quarters with you if you are driving. 1 quarter give you 30 minute parking, which I find it sufficient to shop. What I like there are: Russian salad Stuffed cabbage Stuffed eggplant Baklava(the classic pistachio one are the best) Beans Dolma Dried dates Baba ghanoush There are plenty of other stuff but sadly I don’t remember the name of those small dishes.

My go-to source for Middle Eastern ingredients: olives, hummus, bulgur, freekeh, various other grains, olive oils, etc. etc. Plus a great selection of fetas from all over Europe and the Middle East(about a dozen the last time I was there); baked goods; and prepared foods. Prices are very reasonable, especially given the quality. Everything I’ve tried has been fresh and delicious. Plus the family who owns the market are wonderfully friendly. Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about this place: it’s really terrific.

AMAZING! I love this place and it was my weekly go-to when I lived in MA. The hummus, grape leaves, baba ganoush(smokey — perfect flavor) and the stuffed eggplant were our favorites. But everything there is just the best! The assortment of desserts, feta cheese, olives, and breads are top notch too. They sell spices, fruits/vegs, teas, nuts, candy, wine and also have a frozen section with tons of options. Whether it’s just staples for your own fridge or you need stuff for a party — this is the place to go. Customer service is also exceptional. Bonus that the owners are so friendly and nice. It’s a pleasure to see them and chat while you you are buying all your groceries.

Very friendly service, with a broad selection of market goods in addition to the baked goods and deli. Love the lateral ceiling fans…

My husband and I stopped here recently and we were blown away. The owners of the establishment obviously care about Quality and freshness. And customer service! It is so refreshing to happen upon a market stepped in culture and tradition and yummy food! We sampled several different Fetas, the turkish one was our favorite. I also recommend the whipped feta, amazing! Watertown really has so many awesome food options! If you are looking for a small authentic gourmet market this is your spot!

Perfect place to get delicious spreads for a party. The value is excellent for the quality. Our guests were raving about the food. We purchased 1 lb of each of seven spreads, and it was more than enough(along with a lot of cheeses that we bought elsewhere) for a party of 50 people, as appetizers/snacking food(not as a main meal). I’ll definitely be back the next time we have a party!

Horrible costumer service, i’ve been going to the store for 4 years but must say I feed up with their attitude. People who work there have such arrogant attitude. Oh well we will find some other place to spend our money. I wish i’d give them no star!!!

If I ever have a party to go to where I have to bring something last minute and don’t have time to cook, Sevan is definitely going to be my first stop. Where to begin… located on an unassuming strip in Watertown with a couple other Armenian/Middle Eastern businesses, Sevan has a really incredible selection of spices, spreads, prepared foods and ingredients. Today I got whole mustard seeds, whole coriander, fennel seeds and tahini(inexpensive considering the amount in the containers). Then we headed over to the prepared foods case ready to be wowed. Having just read(and salivated over) the Edible Boston article about Sevan, I had to order almost everything in the case. Oh and two falafels. Oh and a simit bread. The falafel are delicious($ 1.25 a pop) the simit bread was delicious, covered in sesame seeds and actually reminiscent of a Montréal-style bagel in a way, but a little skinnier of a loop. Whipped spiced feta spread with red pepper — five stars — yummmmm Muhammara — five stars, spicy with ground walnuts and pomegranate molasses(!) a MUSTTRY! Tabbouleh — four stars(a little over-parsleyed for my taste but still amazing) Eetch– five stars, cracked wheat red pepper paste, tomato Also, get the artichoke hummus, you’ll love it. Bottom line: think I’m going to be coming here a lot more often. Check it out!!!

After 50 years of eating only Lahmejune from Eastern Lahmejune I sampled a ½ dozen from Sevan Bakery in Watertown. The difference was in two distinct areas: Eastern gives you too much dough and uses filler spices(overkill)that make for indigestion! Sevan offers a more palatable thin crust with just the right amount of spices to enhance their Lahmejunes. I only wished that I had tried their bakery sooner. I won’t buy my «junes» anywhere else!

AMAZING market. Contains all sorts of middle eastern foods and has incredible olive and nut bars. The French feta is wonderful, and is sold in giant blocks for about $ 10.99 a pound which is worth it for such delectable cheese. They have a wonderful assortment of home made baklava, honestly the best I’ve ever tasted in the area.

Solid five stars for this wonderful Middle Eastern grocery. We used to drive two hours to get to this place, and now I live nearly around the corner which is terrible for any diet plans, or savings plans I may have. Sevan has almost everything you need for your pantry — spices, preserves, grains, bulk dry goods, middle eastern pudding mixes. They have fresh middle eastern veg, an olive bar, fresh bread, and things like sour cherry juice you can’t find anywhere else. They have bulk white cheese(feta), and cured meats(pastirma). Their frozen section also has hard to find things like lahmacun, and manti(baby turkish ravioli), frozen okra, etc. They have Turkish beer — Efes! Great prepared foods — pick up some grape leaves, and some awesome Kazandibi pudding, and you’ll be in heaven. For the uninitiated, fear not — ask for advice, and you’ll get some great suggestions.(Even from other customers). Street parking, but it’s always easy to find.

Whether you are Armenian, Persian, Turkish, or not you should visit Sevan for the best fresh bread, starters, cheese, olives, nuts and a million other traditional foods and groceries. It’s a, lovely, family-owned store and seriously the best spot for getting goodies and snacks.

This is one of the smaller groceries in Watertown’s Little Armenia, but it’s a nice one. Everything is very well organized, and while it may not have the selection of larger stores, the turnover is high and things are fresh. They have the large green creamy-tasting olives I can’t find elsewhere, sheep’s milk cheese from Bulgaria, a kind of serve-yourself bar for seeds and nuts, a small selection of wine, and lately some chili-flavored dried fruits which are kind of interesting. This is my go-to when I need baclava, I think they do it better than any of the other bakeries.

Great great place for olive bar and international middle eastern place. Best place to find freshly made diff kind of feta Cheese. Also huge nuts bar. Lots of freshly made side dishes and desserts from middle eastern countries. The best part is that it is cheaper than even stop and shop olive bar by $ 2.00 a pound… no not kidding Great owners and great fresh food, nuts and specially olives EVERYONESHOULDGOATLEASTONCE.
