We’ve been here a few times now, and it’s a decent place for the most part. It’s spacious, relatively clean and they seem to have a streamlined system for group events, birthday parties, etc. Lots of activities and playscapes for toddlers and under, and a separate eating area for food and other events. The problem I have, however, is with the casual inaction the employees seem to have at times. They are friendly for the most part, but seem to be conditioned to work with their clients like some sort of bipedal cattle. My son had cut his finger on the sharp plastic slots on their chairs, which resulted in my wife and I tending to his bleeding hand over the sink. We asked for a bandaid from one of the employees, which got an affirmative response as she went on to procure a box of cake for the rest of the children. My kid’s hand is bleeding, and she’s casually beginning another project. The other employee then got the requested bandaid, which led to me speaking with them about the chair. A piece of his skin was still attached to the chair, which I presented as I made sure they knew that this was a problem they had to acknowledge and deal with — sharp chairs with toddlers?! — she then shrugged her shoulders, and retorted that«we’ve had these chairs for 15 years and never had a problem!» I’m not looking for an explanation or any defensive posturing, just some concern and reassurance that you’ll follow through and consider that this may happen again to someone else. Instead, I get this attitude like I’m trying to get her to capitulate to some opposing political view. It’s just rude.
