I want to give Deegs a 3.5 star rating. They are an excellent value eatery and the service is great. The give and take is that some of the food is sub-par. The breakfast is average, but the price is better than most. At lunch, I recommend avoiding the soups and salads. The burgers and sandwiches are reasonably priced. The fried foods are straight from the freezer. On Thursdays and Saturdays they offer an all-you-can-eat wings and shrimp. This is a great value for hungry college students.

Average greasy spoon fare with a side of superb service My daughter and I stopped by for Sunday breakfast while in town for a soccer tournament. The roadside sign for 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 pancakes, 2 sausages and 2 pieces of toast for $ 4.99 caught my eye and the handful of Unilocal reviews were favorable, so we threw caution to the wind and strapped in for the Deeg’s dining experience. We were warmly greeted by the cashier as we entered the restaurant and were told to find a table. While there were only a handful of diners in the restaurant when we entered, the place quickly filled up to near capacity by the end of our meal. As we looked for a suitable table, I noticed that the floor and tabletops were all very clean. The only negative was an extraordinarily aggressive fly that seemed to take great joy in strafing our table. Wi-fi is available, but you’ll need to ask your server for the password. The connection was not great, but strong enough to make a couple of last minute line-up changes for the ‘ol fantasy football team on my daughter’s Kindle. So far, so good. As for service, I need to give mad props to Audra, our server. She was a consummate professional — she always checked in at exactly the right time, she kept my coffee cup full and I enjoyed her cheerful banter. The food was pretty much what you’d expect from a greasy spoon-style diner. The eggs and bacon were fine, nothing special but well prepared. The sausage links were luke warm when served and the english muffin was toasted a little too long. The pancakes were dry and a little grainy. My daughter who is a pancake devouring machine didn’t even finish the sole pancake I shared with her. My daughter was wasn’t a fan of the french toast she ordered. It was slightly undercooked, but again, typical diner fare. Coffee, the $ 4.99 special and an order of french toast set me back just $ 13, a great value for breakfast these days. Overall, the A-OK description of the 3 star rating pretty much sums up my experience at Deeg’s. Not a memorable meal, but I experienced far worse.

Excellent food for a decent price. I got a taco, a bowl of chili and a burger for just over $ 5. Definitely come on a Monday for their .69 burgers. They do charge for each topping though. They only have Dr Pepper products on tap. The only real complaint I have is that they need to turn up the heater.

This restaurant gets a 4⁄5 because you get what you pay for. Deegs isn’t a restaurant that is trying to wow or impress, you simply get good food cheap. Servings are very generous, especially at breakfast. I have found that the Mexican fare is not up to par with others in the city, but that their American-style dishes do just fine. Service is friendly and snappy, and we are always greeted with a smile. When I’m darn hungry and don’t particularly want a culinary experience, Deegs is my backup.
