Bear World

2^nd best selection of beer and wine I have ever come across in my travels.
Cigars, tobacco, scratchers and a huge selection cold beer.
Nothing more to look at here folks.

They have any beer you could ever think about!!! They so many different kinda here!!! This place is amazing and affordable.

This place is epic. They have a growler club where if u buy 9 growlers the 10^th is free. The prices r comparable for other good beers that u can buy at any other store in the area. The difference is the selection, they have a greater variety of beer than anyone in watertown. I would highly recommend this place to anyone

I was flabbergasted by the selection of craft, micro, and specialty beers. Coming from beantown and having had my bachelorette at the American Craft Beer Festival at the WTC… I have tried a lot of brews. This place has it. Allagash, smuttynose, dogfish, BBC, bear republic, pretty things, rogue, etc.
I have 3 issues with this place though. They don’t have their liquor license yet so this isn’t a one-​stop spot. The prices are a bit high. Good beer tends to be more expensive than the mass produced beers but Bear World is noticeably more expensive than all other stores offering craft beers that I have been to. I can let this go because there isn’t any other place like Bear World in the area and it may be more expensive for BW to get the goods than it would be if BW was located closer to a big city. NOW, FOR THE DOOZY. Some of the beers are WAY TOO OLD TO SELL. I purchased a $ 17.99 box of champagne style cider. I hadn’t seen it before, it said it was good for 4 months after opening with refrigeration, and I figured it was a nice alternative for a NYE toast. It was flat… FLAT. I also grabbed a Tremens Delirium. When I got it home and poured it into the Delirium glass made for this beer, I first noticed the caramel colored film on the top of the white, foamy head. Then, I noticed the paper hole punch sized flakes swirling around the glass. It was gross looking. When the flakes settled, it measured to about 2 cm high. Very disappointed and there is no excuse for selling a bad product at a premium price.

This place is great in general, but that doesn’t cover how excited we were when we found this place – we really didn’t believe it when we heard about – we didn’t believe it when we got there, but once we left with about a dozen types of beer, including some southern tier we had never tried before, so we are now believers. There is a giant cold room in the back, plus a huge selection of single beers. I end up buying at least twice what we planned on because there’s always something new to find. For beer lovers the place is your metaphorical candyshop for you to be a kid in.
There really isn’t anything like this nearby until Syracuse.
