After driving past this place for a few years now, my boyfriend and I went there last night for the first time. The first thing we noticed was the smell: kinda stale, left-over fried food, maybe? We wanted to have at least a drink, so we both ordered at the bar. The service was no-nonsense nice, the drinks were fine, but the smell really started to bug me. We had just come from dinner, so we didn’t have any food, but there are too many nice places in the area that I doubt we’ll come back to try it out.

If you were to describe Asiana Fusion, it would sound like some drunken guy’s rambling tale: ‘…and I’d quit my job and start a Chinese restaurant… and it’d have EVERYTHING. And a bar! Yeah…’ But look at the menu and you’ll see they’ve borrowed the top dishes from many different Eastern sources… Vietnamese phở, Thai basil noodles, Thai chicken salad, Korean okidol and bibimbap, the good General Gau and his drinking buddy Kung Pao. Then there’s the extra creative apps… not just the full sushi menu but little gems like buffalo chicken Rangoon, dim sum dumplings… It’s like they took everything I like off eight different menus and put it on one. It makes it hard to choose! The crowd in here is interesting, borderline townie, which makes the whole mix refreshing. I don’t know if I’d take folks here to experience traditional cuisines, but it’s a safe bet someone can find something they like on the menu. It’s a hidden gem, and a good place to keep in your back pocket if a dinner reservation falls thru or you get a mix of folk looking for dinner and/or drinks. Well worth a look!

This is still our favorite neighborhood gem. Great food and drinks, wonderful owners, and now they also have sushi! I have eaten here many times and have never had a bad meal.

New Sushi Bar! My daughter and I were so happy to hear the great news. We love sushi! So I checked out the new sushi menu online prior to our visit that night. It was definitely fusion. I’d call it sushi for newbies. Lots of tempura(cooked) sushi. They do have Tuna dumplings that were avocado wrapped in raw tuna that were phenomenal. Then I realized I shouldn’t be surprised because they are true to «Fusion» recipes. My son loves loves the cheese steak egg rolls. Even though the menu has more fusion sushi, fear not sushi lovers, you know who you are and you know exactly what you want.. .they have real sushi chefs that can do it all. So don’t be afraid to ask for your favorites dishes that are not on their sushi menu. We did and it was all fresh and delicious. I’ve always loved this place but now I love it more. As a family we have to go some place we can all agree on and there are few of those that include sushi bars. It hasn’t totally gone sushi. They still have their regular menu with delicious choices for everyone. I’d say it’s a great place to impress a date who is a sushi lover and you can enjoy lots of choices of cooked sushi and enjoy it together. I’m looking forward to our next visit.. . my husband said he would try a sushi roll(cooked type of course.)

I’ve been to Asiana before and always loved their food but now they have sushi. I didn’t try all the rolls but I had a California roll and shrimp tempura topped with salmon. Nice tight rolls with fresh rice. I really enjoyed it. So nice to have this close by, we’ll be back soon.

Pretty solid Asian fusion and drinks. After four visits, everything we’ve tried has been pretty good. This place is great for a late night dinner or drinks and a snack. The beer selection is decent; it won’t satisfy any craft beer lover, but you certainly won’t find yourself parched. If you’re looking for a place prior to 9pm, then you can probably find better Asian food in the area, except for maybe the Korean dishes on their menu. On a separate note, their Drunken Noodle, Pad Thai, House Fried Rice, and Bibimbap are delicious!

My birthday unfortunately fell on a Wednesday but my friends and I still wanted to do something fun the day of instead of just on the weekend, so we called up a bunch of places looking for the best deal on scorpion bowls. Ding-ding! Asiana Fusion won. The food is decent. Definitely more fusion than the Asian part. Typical thai basil fried rice kind of «Asian» food. They did surprise me by having bibimbap which I split with one of my friends. One of the Asian ladies from the kitchen(don’t know if she’s a chef) was more than eager to show my Caucasian friend how to «mix» our bibimbap. I found this part quite endearing. Apparently while I was away my friends had asked if they had a slice of cake or something for my birthday and they said yes but this part they never delivered on — a little a bit of my friends fault and their fault. I don’t think it’s that hard to see when a table is done with their meal and the«proper time» to deliver a slice of cake but my friend at the end of the night was a bit drunk and upset about it and gave the manager more than a piece of her mind as we were walking out the door to our Über(She threatened to rate them badly online and flipped him off as she left … idk if they’ll remember us/if we’re allowed back). Overall, decent experience but like I said we went for the strong scorp bowls.

Fantastic place. Very nice atmosphere inside, great ambiance. The food is amazing and is the best you will find in the area. Down to their hot n sour soup to their Asiana delight dish. Also hands down the best crab rangoon ive had. Very friendly staff as well. 5STARS!

Know what’s worse than steak and cheese spring rolls? Not getting steak and cheese spring rolls but being told to, asked if you’re sure and informed that they are your best sellers. Duh! I have no issue with Chinese Philly fusion, per se, but I do take exception to the fact that you can’t even do Chinese American, Thai American or Nepalese American or whatever other Asian American competently. Shout out to the patrons tho. You cray!

I want to start this by saying I can be a bit of a food snob since I am a cook myself. I am also a lover of all things Asian food. My wife and I have been eating here for more than 2 years now and we have literally never had a bad meal here. The servers are always great, they always seem to have some good beer on tap, and the food is some of the best you’ll find around.

I’ve never had worse chicken pad Thai. It is like they throw any leftover vegetables — squash, broccoli, peppers, tomatoes. It was gross.

This is on a very short list of close favorites for my boyfriend and I. I would say we go about once a week! The food is always good, there are great healthy choices, and I definitely recommend asking for ‘extra spicy!’ on your meal! The bibimbap is amazing, and I love their phở as well. The owners are always there and always making sure you are happy. They really pride themselves on good food and good service, and I highly appreciate it. You can’t beat the combination of your typical ‘chinese food’ dishes like Poo Poo platter appetizers as well as fresh healthy dishes chock-full of veggies!

Food was very dry and they just open at 5 pm. $$ over charged when menu has the price. Cheaper price at 9pm not before! They are not very pleasant to new customers. Will never go there again!

Maybe the problem with this place and the cause of the disparate review ratings is a consistency issue in the kitchen. Maybe the chef gets drunk as the night goes on and loses it. I don’t give it 5 stars until I try more dishes, but I will be going back for more. I went in on Sat night 8pm, not at all busy, a few people at the bar and 2 groups including us for dinner. We ordered the pork peking ravioli, i got the dolsot bibimbap and he got the pineapple sesame chicken. Everything was really good. The chicken was crispy and juicy sweet, the rice was well cooked, the ravioli’s were tasty… I dare to say my bibimbap was the better than what i’ve had in Koreantown NYC. It had a good combo and distribution of veggies and meat, and wasn’t too sesame oily, which happens. Service was friendly and attentive. The place was clean. I think the cook/chef/owner came out and she was checking on everyone. You can tell they’re used to serving a monochromatic crowed, I was asked several times, «you know how to eat that dish? You’re supposed to mix everything up.» «Yes thank you, i just like to eat the egg separately instead of mixing it in. « All in all, this is «my» sort of place. It’s a neighborhood place seemingly, everyone go hugged as they came in to watch the Bruins game. It’s American, its Asian, it has all the good stuff a 1st gen American Asian could want, rice, soy sauce, other tasty things, alcohol, pool table, tv and of course froyo. I didn’t get to try the froyo i was too full. Don’t go here because you want really good Chinese, or Vietnamese, go here because you want good food. It is called Asiana FUSION after all. You CAN go here for really good bibimbap.

This place isn’t very good. It is that simple. I don’t know how it even gets good reviews, the food is made with as much care as IKEA horse meatballs. Nothing was worth paying for if I wanted terrible service and terrible food I’d cook for my girlfriend and myself. I would list what I ordered but I don’t remember cause I just didn’t eat much of it. Sorry for the short review.

My husband and I live across the street and came here a few years back when they first opened. We ordered the Chinese items on the menu and weren’t impressed. We later learned that it’s Korean owned. So, basically we just ordered the wrong type of cuisine to get the restaurant’s best dishes. Anyway, I’m hungry and craving my Chinese American comfort foods, which include chicken fingers and crab rangoons. Asiana had them on the menu, and since I didn’t want to drive to the Chinese place down in Watertown Square, I decided to try Asiana again. Boy was I impressed… the crab rangoons were pretty good and were definitely fried in a fresh batch of oil. Having worked in my parents Chinese take-out business, I am very aware of how old oil can alter the taste of fried foods. The chicken fingers were long, thin strips as opposed to the rounded chunks as most Chinese places. The shape was very convenient for dipping into duck sauce. The chicken was fresh and delicately fried as well. The only thing that I didn’t like was the type of tofu used in my tofu veggie lo mein. Asiana uses the fried cubed kind, and the cubes were hard as rocks! I would definitely come back again and get shrimp lo mein.
